Craig and team did a full basement renovation for our house built in 1965. The results are spectacular! We had a great experience working with Craig and his team. The crew was friendly, timely, easy to work with, and patient with some of our change orders. Ultimately, we would work with Artistic Construction 10x over. We highly recommend their work.

Craig and his team did an excellent job on our basement renovation. Craig brought up a lot of great ideas to make the remodel better. His crews were skilled, easy to work with, and friendly. Work quality was very high and the work was completed in a reasonable amount of time. We're very happy with our new basement space. We'd definitely use Artistic again.

Artistic Construction (AC) completed two relatively small bathroom remodels. In one bathroom, the shower door was replaced with a frameless Euro-Style glass door. The shower door opening was not perfectly square, but AC was able to get the right custom measurements so that the door would fit. The door looks great! In another bathroom, AC replaced a shallow bath tub with a deeper soaking tub. They were able to match the existing ceramic tile and replaced all the plumbing and electrical fixtures. The bathroom looks brand new!

Artistic Construction (AC) performed a complete kitchen remodel in our home. The project required flooring reinforcement and installation of high-end cabinets, granite, and appliances. Having our basement finished was going to be a big job, so we interviewed three different basement contractors. Based on a combination of good Angie's List reviews and their strong interview and proposal, we made the decision to hire Artistic. The results are stunning and the basement looks great! We had them take a completely empty and unfinished basement, and turn the space into a work out room, bedroom, large bathroom with sink/toilet/shower, game area, full kitchen, family room, and storage area. We are extremely pleased with the outcome. We were also very impressed with the entire crew. They were friendly, respectful, and experts in their trade. We have finally found a contractor that we will use for all future projects!

We had a leak underneath the shower and that triggered us to remodel entire bathroom. They stripped the room down to the studs and replaced a section of damaged sub-floor. Baseboard heat was rerouted and they created a decorative cover that works very well. Their tile work on the floor and wall was exceptional and results are very beautiful. They implemented all requests (like shower pan leak testing) and preferences without complaint. After the work was done, we found bathroom door had to be adjusted to close a small gap, and they came right away to make that adjustment. The final cost calculation went really quick with no hidden costs. The workers are very nice and conscientious about protecting our properity not under construction, cleaning up at the end of each day, and minimizing noise when needed to accommodate working from home. We will definitely consider this company for our next project.

They did most of installation while we were out of the house, so disruption was minimal. Cleaned up well. Came back to add some finishing touches that I had wanted at no extra cost. Looks lovely.

Craig ordered replacement for 3 new cupboards. was able to do this during pandemic by using my photos and measurements. Old cupboards removed and new ones installed in about 5 hours. Look great. They even fixed the door to the laundry room. Were very respective of COVID restrictions during work.

They are always a pleasure to deal with. Deck was old and falling apart. They replaced all the framework and installed new decking that withstands MI weather. Old porch was ceramic and cracking. The original material was not accepted by our Arch Committee. Contractor provided alternate material--accepted and has received raves from neighbors. Also repaired and repainted column on porch.

Craig and his guys were amazing! Showed up everyday at 7 and kept the project rolling. The workers were incredibly pleasant and helpful. We came to Craig with an image of what we wanted to complete our forever home and he was able to meet all of our requirements. We even referred him to my brother to have a bathroom finished. I highly recommend Artistic for any of your home renovation needs.

Miserable - simply miserable. Mismatched shower tile, holes drilled in tile due to wrong shower door installed are now exposed, replacement door installed crooked, heated floor does not work, floor gout missing in joints, roof leaked after exhaust fan installation, argued with my wife until she cried because he didn't do the work he contracted to do, toilet leaked onto kitchen ceiling because of faulty installation, after three years of repeated calling, sending him pictures, discussing with him, he always promised to come and perform the repairs but never showed up. I finally finished the repairs to his work and painted the kitchen ceiling myself. I could go on and on. He is the reason "contractors" get a bad name...

"We completed this job 4 years ago on an aged house/ cabin on the [Member Information Removed] with many many MANY defects .....and did a wonderful job! Since then We went back over 7 times to investigate a leak the home owner said was coming from the vent fan ....??....7 TIMES !! II told him that we don’t see where it was leaking. We finally found out that the roof was leaking (on the 7th return visit ) at a flange that we did not even touch (we don’t do roofing ) We showed the homeowner and fixed it and he REFUSED to pay ($75) for something that we fixed for him that cost of over $1000 in repeat visits for just wages and gas that we had nothing to do with. .Then I proceeded to get calls /texts from him late Sunday nights and holidays when I was spending time with my new born to paint his ceiling when he didn’t pay for the repair WTH? FOLKS,we do over a hundred jobs a year and me and the crew joke and some of the crazy people we deal with with outlandish demands and requests , You can only imagine,,,,,,,,,,. STILL WE handle our customers with care...no matter how eccentric they are!!!"

Artistic was a great group of people to have working on my house, professional, fast, and fun to have around. The job was to reno the kitchen, pretty sure was older than me. So, everything had to be replaced. This wasn't an easy job, came with complications. They had great ideas to solve them. I had a few custom things I wanted, and they had no issues working with me. The results are better than expected, my kitchen was transformed from an unfunctional dungeon into a wonderful place to spend time, even if not making a meal. It is now my favorite place in the house.

Quoted 4-6 weeks, took 20 weeks still incomplete and still fails code inspection. Signed form says oiled bronze fixtures. Bright chrome shower fixture never changed to oiled bronze. Never pulled permits for work done yet charged for permits. Failed final inspections for plumbing and electrical work. Never returned to correct. Steady leak under sink faucet. Side of builder selected cabinet has delaminated from under sink cupboard. Towel racks pulled free of drywall with first use, no drywall fasteners behind at least part of the handicap bars. Typically one day notice if working. Longest work period was for three consecutive days. Workers stole finished kitchen trim board to use as trim on bath wing wall. Workers stole multiple washclothes and towels to plug drains, clean up spilled paint, and cushion glass door. Workers dumped tile saw water and tailing into garden by kitchen window, onto grass of front lawn killing grass etc despite repeated requests to dump in wooded area of our lot. Workers splashed paint and runoff so heavily on garage door and windows we had to pay to have them professionally cleaned. Worker trying to clean paint from his body after dumping gallon of paint on finished tile floor. Worker took and used multiple yard waste bags and construction garbage bags from owners garage without permission. Owner was left to clean sticky edges after rosinpaper and tape were down on premium maple floor for five months. Builder’s Company License expired during project was not renewed. Builder still had his individual license but the paperwork was written under the company license. We have paid the full original contract amount. We have not paid for an additional door or changes we dispute due to Mr Rossi’s mismeasurement of shower door. As delivered, the door would not open to access because the door hit the toilet before it was half open. We now await a hearing before the Licensing Board to resolve this unsafe and leaky handicap bath.

We are very happy with the whole process of remodeling our kitchen and laundry room. From the very start of remodeling the two gentlemen that did the work were there Monday through Friday at 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. They arrived with a smile on their face and ready to go to work. They were professional and friendly. If there was a hiccup they thought first before just hacking the problem which we did not have many. The contractor was very helpful and professional. He checked on the process of remodeling every day. If not in person, calling his guys to see how things were going. Thank you Craig, Chris and Ken for an outstanding job. We love our new kitchen and laundry room. We would highly recommend Artistic Construction and Design for any project you would have.

This was our 2nd project with Craig after having our basement refinished. Our new crown moldings have lightening above that reflects onto the ceiling. It makes the rooms look more elegant. The kitchen had ugly multi colored back splash we inherited when we purchased the house. Now, the marble back splash reflects the quality of our home in general. All craftmenship work was done at a fair price and until we were fully satisfied.Craig's workers are the best from professionalism,skill to timeliness from start to finish. We are now finalizing plans on a screened porch with a stamped concrete floor that will blend in with the home and look like it's always been there. I have complete confidence in knowing they finish our jobs completely before moving on to another one.

Decent enough rough work as the footprint of the bathroom totally changed but as it turns out the finishing work was horrible. Toilet installed wrong which caused it to leak into basement, paint substandard, closet doors miscut, color of tile in shower flaking off, and now the floor is moving and the grout is coming loose. It has been a couple of years but i should not have to be considering another remodel so soon. Obvious that finishing workers were not professional and were just winging it when it came to installing fixtures, shelves, and floors. I paid a large sum of money for this work and feel entirely ripped off. I have contacted them but they are not proactive in trying to fix this. I am beyond sad about this whole experience.

This is A very old house which we renovated over 4 years ago that we don’t know how the homeowners and the daughter’s boyfriend (and other people ) treated the bathroom- we have contacted her back on numerous occasions and asked for appointments to come and view and FIX any thing that needed to be fixed - and no response ! We are still willing to attend to the 4 year old project but have not been contacted about what time we can get in to the house to see what’s going on - we feel very sorry that this happened and ready to come in and attended to anything that needs to be done"

Craig's team was very professional and courteous all the time. They were at our home at 7AM every day until the project was completed. They were always ready to explain any detail or question we asked. Their pricing was fair, design and quality of workmanship was excellent. We would definitely use them again for another project.

These guys were great , they showed up on time , aimed to please and got the job done when they said. I had to fire my first contractor who started the job , he had our home in a constant mess for months. I called other contractors but none wanted to take a job the was half done. Craig took the job and finished it. Also want to give kudos to Chris, Kenny and John for the excellent work they did.

Craig and company were fantastic! We are extremely happy with our bathroom - I can honestly say that I have never seen a more gorgeous bathroom. Craig responded to our Angie's List inquiry immediately, and after we chose his company to do our remodel, work started within days. Craig checked on progress constantly, and was very open to discussion and offered great suggestions as the job progressed. Chris and Ken were our main workers, and they were very punctual (work started at 7am daily and they were in their cars in front of the house by 6:30!). In addition to being punctual, they were perfectionists. We chose a patterned tile for the walls around the tub, and it is lined up perfectly. Soffits were removed, and a half glass wall was installed to open up the bathroom and make it feel larger. We will definitely hire Artistic Construction again. WE have a few things in mind already...!

Excellent! Craig, the owner very professional, detailed oriented and trustworthy. We have wanted a composite deck off our master bedroom for several years now, just needed to find the right company. Craig provided us a written quote, worked within our budget. Ken and Ben, Craig's carpenters were fantastic, punctual, knowledgeable, professional, aimed to please. Making the decision on this project was not taken lightly. We met with a variety of basement remodel companies in the area. We looked at premanufactured systems, other highly rated Angie contractors, and referrals from friends. All of them lacked the ability to collaborate on our vision, they seemed rushed and almost annoyed by having any discussion about what we wanted. Craig was different from the get-go. He came out initially and met with my wife to discuss the project. We were originally shopping bids at the time. Craig actually encouraged us to do so. He advised us to speak to everyone in the area and that if we wanted to go with him to give him a call. This is exactly what we did and I couldn't be more happy with our decision. When he came out for the second consultation he was nothing but genuine and authentic in his demeanor. He shared his catalog of exquisite work. He took his time to actually listen to us. This was super important after comparing the process with other GC's. Work done included the following: Framing Drywall - walls and Ceiling Electrical - Pot lights, outlets, etc. Plumbing -Shower -Toilet -Urinal -Sink in bathroom -Sink in kitchenette Build out of an office section to house our computers and assorted gaming gear A living/TV area Glass block Window replacement A new circuit breaker to replace fuse panel. He made it very clear that his crew is filled Artisans who care about their craft. Attention to detail can be seen in the exquisite millwork that was done around what could have been a very basic stairwell. On the topic of his crew, I wanted to highlight John, Nathan, Dan, Winston, and Kenny. He hires people that are friendly, and couldn't be more accommodating to our requests. We had some strange ones and they took it in stride. They were all super friendly and cleaned up the site after each work day. The whole project took approximately 7 weeks. We were actually sad to see them go! One specific memory was when the bathroom was being laid out. Craig had me come into the then unfinished space, and took measurements of me for the shower! It was like having a custom tailored suit. Incredible! Did I mention that we asked them to put a urinal in addition to the toilet in the bathroom? Craig said "no problem, we can do that" and they did. When inviting people over to see the finished space their jaws drop. We couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism, kindness, and prompt attention to any issues that came up during the project. I plan on using Artistic Construction and Design for any future projects. If you are looking for an authentic, original thinker who is patient and understanding of their customer's needs, than look no further. We asked Craig to build us a space that was clean, safe for our children, and modern. This is exactly what he did. He was passionate about the project and excited to help us realize our dreams.
