TWB Contractors

We wanted them to start before winter months and they were able to get project on their schedule and finish it in their projected time-frame. Workers were professional and friendly. Delays in project were caused by Mother Nature. Troy coordinated with out-of-state relatives...he was available to review estimate and answer questions over phone. Additionally, he sent regular digital photos of their progress and finished project. He stayed within budget and was always accessible throughout process.

The biggest complaint is the boots around the vent pipes and the chimney. They never looked right and they were covered in a tar like substance. They look worse now since they have twisted and leak. Overall the roof does not leak except around these boots. Within the first two years we had to have TWB come back to fix the leak around the vent pipe boots. We had water in the spring coming through our first floor door frames. TWB did show and fix the boots but again they look awful and it took a couple weeks to get them here. Fast forward to today 2013. Spring brought new leaks. I had water in the second floor bathroom dripping through the light/fan. A couple days later we had a leak in one of the bedrooms. The light fixture was full of water and it was pooring in. I spent two to three weeks calling Troy of TWB and leaving messages. One call back indicated they would be out next week to look at it. They did not show up. Three weeks later I have about givin up and concluded I will have to fix this my self. This roof was not cheap. Over $20,000.I do not think we should have these problems even years later. My biggest gripe is the crappy boots they placed around the sewer vent pipes. Nothing but problems. TWB's lack of response would make it very difficult to recommend them. Overall they did a good job and if they would have handled the problems in a timely manner I would have given a better review.

TWB was hired by the city of Harbor Springs, along with their partner "northern excavating co" to rebuild the water mains and roads throughout the city area. This job included hooking up all the homes with new water supply pipes from the new water main. TWB and Northern Excavating were paid by the city of Harbor springs for everything, including the water hook up to all the homes. TWB decided to go ahead and bill out an outrageous amount of money to each home owner after receiving their new water hook up. We receive a bill for $4000. for a job that took them less than half an hour. I went to the city hall to complain and they told me that TWB has already been paid for this job, specifically. TWB persisted on sending that bill, to all the home owners and threatening them with court action if they don't pay. This company runs on extremely illegal and immoral practices. I would not hire them to build a doghouse!
