GREAT! They were wonderful to work with and of great assistance.

Quick and to-the-point. Give Dave's a call, they send out the wrecker or salvage truck and you're done. The guys in the truck are professionals who have done it before -- Dave's is the business getting called at 3:00am or on holidays or in the dead of winter. You don't have to worry that they're going to damage your vehicle or that something will go wrong. They've even driven me back from their station to my employer when I was without my vehicle.
I've been taking a variety of vehicles to Dave's for a wide range of mechanical repair work for more than 20 years. Dave's isn't a cut-rate/discount mechanic. They are knowledgeable, get the job done right and charge a fair price for their time. So they've towed me, they've fixed me, they've pumped gas for me and have rented U-Haul equipment to me. I only have good things to say about Dave's.

Overall, this was not good. I took the van into the BP because it was the closest repair place near my house. It took them three times to fix the brakes, each visit over $150. The first time, everything seemed fine, but about a week after the brakes were repaired, I had no brakes. It seemed to me to be a problem with the hydraulic system. I told them this and after having the van for three days, they told me there was nothing wrong. Again, I went home. The next morning, I the brake pedal went all the way to the floor. I went again. They were surprised. The brakes were fine. They had not checked the lines, even though I asked them to. It seems there was indeed a problem with the hydraulics. Not good. And expensive. Lessons learned.
