KEN'S TREE SERVICE

When I spoke with on 04/07/17 he said he would come out the next day but it was raining and I ask if he would perform the job another day he said it fine. He was scheduled to arrive at 11:00 but he phoned that he would be here at 12:00. He came a little before 12:00. He did not let me know that had arrived and begin cutting the front tree and I ran out there to see what he was doing. He had begun cutting branches from the trunk of the tree in middle of the tree. I was shocked, I stopped him and explained that I did not want those branches cut but trimmed. Also I wanted branches trimmed that were leaning on the roof. So he went to the tree to the back, I again explained that I only wanted those branches leaning over the roof cut. He and his son responded that they agreeded. He proceeded to cut all the branches from around the trunk of the tree all the way past the roof of the house. I was so shocked, hurt and speechless. His explanation was that those branches were dying I was numb, they cleaned out gutters and I paid them. I don't care if they were dying or not he had no right to cut those branches from that tree without consulting me. It wasn't until they left that I became very very angry. I am writing this now because every time I would think about it I would get angry all over again. I am angry because of what took place want my money back.

Ken came out and quoted first thing on a Saturday morning. Our large and unruly shrubs had a serious layer of egg rock underneath them and I'd been concerned about being able to get all the roots out without having to remove all the rock first. Ken said it would not be a problem. He let me know he'd be able to get it done the next week and I was thrilled to come home that Tuesday and find that it was already done - not a twig left! This is the third time we've had Ken remove shrubs and brush and I'd never go anywhere else for trimming or removal for trees and shrubs. Every time both the quote and work have been done amazingly fast and very reasonably priced. There have been times when he's been out within the hour of me calling. We've told many people about his great service and they've in turn referred him to others. He's also removed a giant Dawn Redwood tree at my parents' house in just a few hours and charged half the cost of several competitors quotes. Great service!! We definitely plan to have him and his team back to remove others in the future.

Ken and I had originally scheduled the work for the week prior to the actual work date. Due to an equipment failure, he called to reschedule two days prior to the work. On the day scheduled to do the work, it was very windy and rain was beginning. He called to reschedule, but the future times did not fit my schedule. He agreed and came to my house with two trucks on a Sunday morning and went right to work in the lift on his truck in the wind.
About an hour later, the job was completed (also trimmed other areas not included in our original agreement at no extra costs) and he and his crew began cutting the larger pieces into smaller wood for my fireplace, as well as cleaning up the wood-chips and sawdust. The entire process was smooth and quick.
I would recommend his services and use him again.

Kens was a pleasure to deal with! He came out for an estimate the same day my husband spoke with him. He gave the lowest price and was out for the job three days later!
When he came out the original job was to just remove the Locust ( about 30ft tall) and the Maple ( about 25ft tall) along with the stumps and debris removal = 750. They started on time and worked very quickly. I asked about a Pine tree that looked to be dying to get his opinion. He told me that the tree was in fact dying and had spider mites...ewwwwww. He said he could quote me a price to remove that tree/stump as well. I asked if it would be too much to remove the tree today along with the others... surprisingly he said he could do it...and another stump that was in our yard when we bought the house. He took the time to talk to myself and my husband, answer any questions and didn't rush off once the work was done. They even washed down our deck when they were finished!

Ken came right out and gave an estimate removal of an old catelpa tree. I put him off for a month and the price was the same when I called back. He and his crew showed up in reasonable time and went right to work. Was careful of a flower bed under the tree, ground the stump, chipped the branches' and hauled away the rest. Sweep up also. He and his crew were professional, polite and quick. I will not hesitate to call Ken again

I AM IMPRESSED WITH THE WORK THIS COMPANY DID. THEY HAVE EXPERIENCE IN TREE WORK AND LEFT MY YARD IMMACULATE. I WILL CALL THEM AGAIN THIS SUMMER TO DO MORE WORK.
