We had Radon testing done prior to a home purchase. Jerry was fantastic...he took care of everything, even worked with the realtors to schedule meter drop off and pick up. Very convenient, responsive and a really nice guy.

During a typical Home inspection for a potential new home purchase a granular attic insulation substance was noticed. The inspector indicated it may be asbestos. We searched Angie's List and at approx. 8pm we called Pointe Environmental, Inc. due to the potential health hazard and left a voice message to schedule service. Although, it was after office hours Jerry called back within 35-40 minutes and agreed to come out the next day. Thanks to Jerry's quick response in collecting samples and having them analyzed by a reputable Laboratory we proceeded with purchasing the home.

Jerry was very trustworthy and easy to work with. It did take a bit of time to get a quote due to both of our busy schedules. Once I received the quote I decided to use his company. The work was done promptly and they cleaned up after themselves. I was very happy with the service Jerry provided.

Jerry was timely and professional and gave us what seemed like a very fair quote on what it would cost to get all the asbestos out of the basement. We didn't end up buying the house, but would have definitely hired Pointe Environmental to remove the asbestos if we had.

They ripped up the tiles, disposed of it, and gave me certificate saying that the place is free of asbestos. They sealed off the work area with some heavy gauged plastic and had some type of exhaust machine to pick up the particles in the air. They were very thorough with everything and made sure that asbestos never got outside of the sealed area.

We are in the process of buying a new home, and the private inspection showed that the attic floor is insulated with vermiculite. Our inspector recommended having it tested for asbestos. I called Pointe Environmental, and Jerry came out to take a sample within a few hours. By the next day, he called and emailed me with the lab results showing that asbestos was not detected. He was so kind and helpful - a genuinely nice person. I will definitely call back for other services if ever needed.

The whole experience was very good and I would highly recommend their services to anyone who is in doubt wether there is asbestos in their home or not.

I was very satisfied with the services they provided. Their price is very reasonable. The quality of their work is extremely high.

All services were preformed on time with a minimum of inconvenience to us. All floors were covered to access the attic, after the job was finished the clean-up was exceptional, inside and outside.

They did very well. They were done the same day they came out. The work that was done was done very well. They were very pleasant and they cleaned up after themselves. They were very respectful and the price was decent.

Team came in on time, blocked off the area and just went to work.

We are looking forward to bringing them back for future jobs, no need to look anywhere else.

I had the pipe wrap tested by an independent lab prior to calling any contractors for estimates. Jerry was able to come to our house in a few days ,and was very flexible in his scheduling of the day; he came to our house in the morning to assess the situation, bought supplies while we had to do other things, and then came back when it was convenient for us to complete the work.

Because the tape was very sticky (and non-friable), he simply removed the whole section of pipe that was covered by the tape; he explained that it was too difficult to get all of the wrap off of the existing pipe, and that to do so would cause unnecessary disturbance of the fibers. There were several bends in the pipework that required cutting, welding, etc, but he completed the work with aplomb. I felt confident that the work was done well. While he was in our basement, he also checked several other areas that would be likely to contain asbestos and confirmed that we seemed to be OK (at least, from what he could see on a visual inspection).

He's also a nice guy, and patient with lots of customer questions!

Jerry was extremely knowledgable and quoted me the best price given 3 other estimates. He even found asbestos under the carpet he pulled up and removed the tile for free. The job was done very rapidly and his crew was very nice.I was surprised that they were not in full 'moon suits' but Jerry showed me the system they used to remove asbestos from pipes and it was ingenious. They are patented bags that go over the pipes and they are able to remove the asbestos within the bag w/o covering up large areas in the basement. They also use air filters while removing - just in case and took air quality measurements while the job being done and afterwards. I also hired an independent inspector to take air quality measurements and all was very good.

Jerry quoted this job over the phone, and his team arrived onsite when promised, and were able to complete this job with cleanup in about 2 hours. An efficient and professional experience all around!

First, Point Environmental's prices are far below their competitors. The quote Jerry gave me was less than half of the next lowest quote. If price is a big consideration, you should take a strong look at Point Environmental. However, if safety concerns trump price considerations, you should be aware that the safety measures that were employed at my home seemed rudimentary to me. The workers did not use protective gear. Plastic sheeting was used at the bottom of my basement steps, but the air ducts in the basement were not sealed off or even covered. The workers used floor scrapers to remove the tiles, which surprised me somewhat since that seemed to make the tiles more friable. The job was finished in a day, which I liked. The quality of the work was pretty good overall, but not totally complete - there are still small bits of tile stuck to the floor in places. I am willing to overlook this in light of the low price, but some people may not be. There were a few things I did not like - for example, the workers apparently put tools or tile on top of my brand new freezer. I suppose I could have moved it out of the basement, but I did not expect this to be an issue. The workers also damaged the wood siding around a support column in the basement. I am removing the siding, so this is less of an issue than it could have been. Also, the carpet on the steps leading out of the basement is destroyed. Again, I intend to replace it, but I would be upset if I had not already planned to remove it. At the end of the job, the workers used some sort of floor sealant, which was simply poured on the floor and pooled in several spots. I wish I had been informed ahead of time, as the sealant gave off a fairly strong odor and I have a small baby in the house. I had to mop up some of the pools of sealant with rags because they were quite deep, and it took about 72 hours to dry completely. I found Jerry to be honest and pleasant to deal with. We finessed the scheduling of the job to work for both of us. And again, the price for the work was very good - I could not find anything close in the area, and I did my research. Despite the issues I had, I would use Point Environmental again in the future, but I do feel that prospective customers should be aware of how the work is carried out.

Prompt with estimate and the removal of all the asbestos in the home along with timing required for the new equipment to be installed. I do recommend them and there pricing is good for the work that was done.
