"We enjoyed conducting this very large estate sale for the family, and they were very helpful and a delight to work with. This sale was a massive undertaking, and, as they indicated, there was so much stuff that it was virtually impossible to price everything. We did consult with the homeowner as to what prices to sell items for as we went along. The homeowner was moving to a small apartment, and had to liquidate everything in the house as he could not take it with him. We did our best to ensure that most of the inventory sold, and for fair prices, and it is understandable that the family was disappointed to see some of the stuff go so cheaply. We feel that had we stayed firm on higher prices, however, much less of the inventory would have moved. The only thing that I would have to disagree with would be the comment on the necessity of liability insurance. This was a potentially dangerous property, with limited walkways due to the excessive amount of items in the house; very small, dark, cramped rooms; also the presence of toxic molds was evident...all of which could have resulted in significant injury and/or illness, and which would not have been covered by the standard homeowner's policy. We strongly feel the decision we made requiring the liability insurance was essential to ensure everyone's safety while on the premises. Overall, this was a great sale and we would be happy to serve this family again."
