Hardwood Classics Restoration

Always late, never called when being late, only time he was on time was at the first meeting. He promised to show at 8  the next day to start - showed at 10. He promised to fill in nail holes and did, used lighter than expected fill. Cleaned up well after themselves. Put two coats of poly with sanding between coats. Promised a 'trowel' last coat to fill in all holes and make a smooth finish. Showed up late for last coat, 'forgot' his trowel. Promised that he would put the poly on heavy with roller and it would be the same. It was not. Have holes and rough edges to catch socks and dirt. Promised to came back and fix the next day. Has not shown or called or returned calls. Did cash check within 1 hour of getting paid. Obviously we were not as important as his other job that he kept us waiting for and leaving his tools there instead of bringing them to our house. He said he was working with the TV show 'Rehab Addict' on HGTV, Nicole Curtis in Detroit who is refurbishing old homes. She better stand behind and watch his every move. Came highly recommended - failed totally. I now need to find someone else to finish my floors. What a disappointment. Will not recommend him at all to anyone.

Came out promptly to give us an estimate which beat other estimates we had gotten by several hundred dollars. Arrived on time and did the job quickly and professionally and kept us updated every step of the way. The floors look great and we are going to hire them again to do another house.
