DO NOT USE!!! They hung a tv at my sister’s home. About three weeks after the installation she came home from an errand and found the tv had fallen off the brace. It damaged the stone around the fireplace, carpeting and the tv. Grosse Pointe Geek will not stand by their work. First they said they wouldn’t because it wasn’t the correct bracket/brace. They are supposed to be the experts-if the bracket was wrong why did they install the tv??? Next they said that because it happened when she wasn’t home they can’t be sure what happened-Come on!!! We are so disappointed in their lack of professionalism, their poor workmanship and horrible customer service. We are so very happy though that her grandchildren were not playing in their usual spot!

I have used GPGeek several times over the past couple of years. Always professional, prices are fair, service is good (depends on how busy they are though). They have saved me some $$ by looking at problems in differnt ways to get the problem resolved without going overboard on repairs. They have been straightforward in telling me when and if the likelihood of success is not great or at least not great compared to what it might cost.

GPG informed me that my wireless card was bad and offered a few solutions that varied in price, trying to avoid the most costly option. While the issue wasn't resolved, they did sell me a USB external wireless drive that works fine. The only complaint I have is that when I got the laptop back, my anti-virus software had been uninstalled and replaced with some free trial software. I would have appreciated being informed of this being done when I picked it up. Also, if I was somebody that needed their computer and didn't have access to another at home, the three days they had it would have been a problem.

I brought it in there and he did something to it and I stood there and watched it. It was nothing that I could have done and there was too much of spam in there. I was very pleased. I don't have knowledge about the pricing but it was fair. He fixed it right on the spot. They were professional.

Took my sick computer in...wouldnt boot. Had been deteriorating. Called for online help (not Grosse Pointe Geek) and they suggested I take the computer apart to run some diagnostics and they may be able to determine what was wrong, I could buy the part and fix it...... Decided to take it in to Grosse Pointe Geek. They quicly diagnosed, called with an estimate, repaired it.

It went great I took my pc in I immediately was approached by a technician there by the name of Alex. He was cordial and friendly, but more than that he was knowledgeable. He and I talked, he gave me his take on what may be wrong, I left the computer there, four hours later he called me I went and picked it up and the rest is history. What I really liked about Alex is that he talked with you, really incorporating the consumer in the process.

I was in the middle of a very important project and spilled a glass of water all over my laptop. Within a day, GP Geek was able to recover all of the crucial data that I needed to complete the project for my client on time. I have taken my computers to other big box stores that provide technical assistance on several occasions. Compared with my experience with GP Geek, these stores are way, way overpriced and far too slow in providing even an initial diagnosis. The techs at GP Geek spoke to me in terms that I could understand, and even recommended another store to buy certain parts wholesale rather than having them order the parts, mark them up, and then sell them to me. They were also more than happy to answer other questions I had about computers without treating me as if I was dumb for raising the question in the first place. GP Geek is the first place I am going to go for my computer service needs because they are reasonably priced, competent, friendly, and prompt.

I called three repair companies and Grosse Pointe Geek was the only one that would pick up the computer and return it. Also, when I told the others what was happening, they said it couldn't be repaired. The computer was picked up and returned promptly with no problems.

My computer kept freezing on me and I couldn't figure what was wrong. I thought I was just going to have to get a new one and lose all of my files. I called and they were able to take my computer that day. I dropped it off and picked it up a few days later and it works like new. He was able to save my information also. They answered all my questions and were very professional.
