The employee explained that most of what came out of the tank was toilet paper; there was no water. He pumped out as much of the paper debris as he could. And then recommended, that to save my system, I should have it pumped again in about a month, as, by that time, there should be more water content and they would be able to pump out the rest of the paper sludge. He showed me what remained at the bottom of the tank. Apparently, it was the density of all the toilet and occasional paper towel refuse that clogged up my system, so what he said made sense to me and I asked to have the company set up a second appointment for me in a month. I was charged $200 which I believe was in keeping with local rates. Note: the tank was already uncovered by an employee from The Service Professor two days before this appointment. It was that person who recommended that I needed to get my tank pumped. Had the tank not yet been uncovered, I would have expected to pay $80-$100 or more for a Richards' employee to do the digging. The young man was professional and friendly and a delight to work with.
