Greenhouse and Nursery Service
I missed the delivery for my plants by the USPS on 3/30/12. The mailman left a missed delivery card in my mailbox that said it looked like rain/no cover, of which I filled out and placed this card back in the mailbox on 4/2/12 to request re-delivery. After 2 days, I received 2 boxes on my porch and 1 in my mailbox. This missed delivery card did NOT say who the packages were from. I assumed it was the boxes I got the in the next two days and never thought more about it. I had pending orders placed on 3/27/12 from this greenhouse that I still had not received, so I check my Amazon.com order list and the expected delivery date for my packages was 4/6/12-4/16/12. So, thinking it was still in the expected time frame, I thought I would give it a few more days to see where my stuff was. By 4/9/12, I finally sent an email to the company explaining that the mailman never took the redeliver request out of my mailbox and that I called the post office and that the post office was surprised that these packages were still on the shelf (with labels stating LIVE PLANTS). The mailman had never taken the re-delivery card out of my mailbox. I was furious after finding out that they didn't notify me they had a perishable package that needed picked up. I COMPLETELY understand that it was not the company's fault that the packages did not get delivered or picked up timely, but I expect a company to assist rectifying a potential problem without horrible attitude. When I contacted this customer service rep she was rude, and told me that was what tracking numbers were for, and if I had tracked the package like I was supposed to, I would have known. One of the plants worth $20 was dead, and they did not offer to replace it, rather she sent me an email that said it was my fault it was dead. I got back on Amazon.com and started reading the customer reviews and started to notice the responses the COMPANY had posted to the customers remarks and ratings. It speaks for itself. This customer service rep put down anyone that gave them less than a 5 star rating. I will NEVER spend money with this company again. If you do, I hope you never have to use customer service because they belittle you. Besides, the plant that died was literally a 7 inch tall twig with 4 leaves (that had fallen off in the box) that was barely half the diameter of a pencil. Not quite what I expected when I ordered an olive tree. Everything else made it fine and was of good quality otherwise.
