I liked Branden and at the time of the inspection I thought he did a great job. The price seemed fair, he was punctual and professional, he worked diligently the entire time he was here, and he certainly took the time to answer a lot of questions. That being said, I don't think he was outstanding. Less than two weeks after I moved into my new home the air conditioner stopped working, massive tree limbs fell down in my backyard, and I found ants in my deck. None of these were issues flagged during the inspection. I also hired a plumber to come look for a gas leak because Branden said there was one near the water heater, but the plumber found nothing, so that was a bit of a waste of time and money on the plumber. Admittedly, I know it's easy to complain with the benefit of hindsight, and certainly no inspection is going to be perfect. To be fair, overall, I think he did a decent, but not outstanding, job.

Overall, the inspection went well. I called Branden on Thursday regarding a home inspection for my potential new (to me) home and he was able to make it out to the house the following. He was on time and got to work right away. He made a point to explain what he was looking for and the purpose of the home inspection. While he does a very thorough job and points out issues, he also helps put those issues into perspective as to whether they're major issues or something that should be address later down the road. He took pictures of different parts of the inspection which helped add detail to his report and we could use with our REALTOR to go back to the seller for modifications. He had great attention to detail and was able to articulate the different issues.
He provided a written report which was detailed, although it was handwritten. I would have preferred a typed report. However, he has been very helpful in communicating with me and my REALTOR the issues rather than just handing over a report never to be heard of again.
