My story would take up more space than I probably am allowed, so to make a long story short, this company was to install a heated tile floor in my modest 1000 sq ft home after leveling my concrete floor to compensate for settling of my concrete slab. What was supposed to take two weeks took six months, during which we were forced to live in a motel as our home was uninhabitable. One avoidable mistake after another occurred, again and again and again.. FOR SIX MONTHS. They continuously tried to "fix' the problems to no avail, and what was required half way through was a complete and total do-over including demolition of all previous work done and the hiring of another, outside company, to level/flatten the floor, which is what they should have done from the get-go. I will give the company credit for sticking with the job almost to its completion and to one installer, Nick Bailey, who saved the day and helped get the job in a professional way doing high quality work. I would hire him again in a heartbeat, but not the company. Ask for him and him alone. The company left us with a dirty floor, complete with grout haze and hard-to-remove caulk lines around the entire perimeter of the home. It is now flat and heated, thanks to Nick and the help of a determined electrician, but, The Floor Network now refuses to answer my calls and respond to my requests for information about whether or not they plan to finish the trim work they promised they would. I get nothing but silence. It is now December 2010, and we are still trying to fix problems caused by this project that began in May, 2010, SEVEN MONTHS after this job was initiated. We gave up on the company and are trying to complete the finish work ourselves, which is difficult because I am disabled and my husband works full time. We are basically camping in our home at this point, unable to really move in and settle because of the finish work needing to be done. I would NEVER, EVER work with this company again. Besides installer Nick Bailey, they have been unprofessional, unapologetic, and have even gone so far as to insinuate that this was somehow our fault. They make excuse after excuse ? that they are very busy, that this is creating financial hardship for them (perhaps do it right the first time next time around???) , and other ridiculousness. They have no understanding of or empathy for how totally disruptive their actions caused our lives to be for seven months, now, and counting. Our only mistake was to work with this company and the contractor who hired them.
