I really hate leaving negative reviews like this; however I feel as if our experience from beginning to end warranted this review. 1. Our first project was to install a boulder wall needed meet code due to the drop off on the side of our porch. We explained what the code requirements were. We thought he understood this as this. Sure enough, after the installation our construction manager notified us that the wall would not meet code. When we emailed Nikki regarding this issue, she said that they would not be responsible as it was “not their responsibility to know the building code” even though we communicated this to them several times. They would, however, come out and correct it at an additional cost to us. Not acceptable. 2. The lawn installation began about a month later. Within the first hour of the installation, we received an email from Nikki with a change order for $250 to remove pieces of concrete left by our builder. I later talked with one of the guys who said they removed it earlier without issue and it “only took a minute.” 3. Allotted in our quote was an allowance for plants in our landscape bed. RRR provided a set of plantings as a starting point. We sent over a few plants we liked but questioned whether these would be best for the project given their location, our climate, and the amount of sunlight that area would get. Nikki did not answer these questions or concerns and after a lengthy back and forth we pulled our allowance after they refused to meet us out at our project to further discuss. 4. After the lawn installation, we were having significant drainage issues. In talking to Ryan, we questioned why only 65 yards (less than 2 inches) of topsoil was used when the other companies we had quoted included an allotment of 200 yards (4 to 6 inches of topsoil). His response was that of course more topsoil was better and to control cost they use less topsoil on projects. I later emailed Nikki who said it was because our lawn sat lower than the neighbors to our east and "where were they supposed to drain it to?" Having not visited the property, she must not have known that we had about 15-20 feet to the back of the property line that would have been the perfect place to drain the excess according to two other lawn companies we spoke with after the fact. The other lawn companies also noted the lack of topsoil in comparison to what they typically use within our subdivision and the issues it was causing and will cause in the future. 5. Our final bill was 20% over our initial budgeted cost. The overage was made up of several extra yards of topsoil and prep for half of our back yard. Their original quote only accounted for us finishing half of our backyard. Why would we only want to prep and seed half of our back yard? I can only imagine this was another tactic that they used to keep and secure the contract with a lower quote. 6. Our original quote included irrigation rings around the plants in our landscape bed. We received another bill for $225 for the landscape ring installation as the irrigation team had to come back out to install. While I understand wanting to collect for time and money spent, I feel that after all the issues and struggles that we encountered and after paying them almost $30k in total for the project that they still wanted to squeeze every dollar that they could out of us. This company takes no responsibility for their own shortfalls or mistakes. With every issue, they pointed the finger back at us. Talking to several others in our neighborhood and reviewing some recent reviews it appears that we aren’t the only ones who have had these experiences

I contacted RRR late in the fall to get on their list for cleanup. I was quoted a price of approx $200 that was at the peak of our budget, we accepted. We then were later billed for another $100 plus because "we" apparently misunderstood there quoting process and didn't add-in for "two guys", rather than the "one guy" on the quote. Anyone ever see a landscape crew of 1 guy? A final mow was to be included, they did not mow the backyard and did not credit for that, explaining that "no one" was home to move a car... yet the crew said they saw my boyfriend leaving for work? And, I was still home... no knock on the door. I am an accountant and have been in the contracting business my entire career. I have not ever issued quotes to people where they have to guess crew size and recalculate their quote to get to the real cost... The crew did a nice job on the leaf removal, minus the mowing... how I was treated by the office personnel was disappointing.

RRR was very quick to respond to my request.  We adjusted the scope of the project to fit our budget and Ryan was very professional and had good ideas during those exchanges.  RRR met our timeline and did a wonderful job.  I'd highly recommend RRR and will work with them again.

Ryan did everything he could to make sure the agreed upon work was done to our satisfaction. He is prompt and professional, and handled any issues we had immediately once he was made aware.

Working with RRR was a mixed bag. The first time we had them do Fall leaf cleanup, everything looked great and they worked quickly. We continued to use them for cleanups. We had also contracted with them for snow removal but then moved out of state, while keeping our house as a rental. We asked (beginning to mid-November) to have our payment for snow removal applied to other services RRR had performed, but Mr. Riebel's best offer was that maybe our prospective tenant would be able to reimburse us.  We did not appreciate that response, but our tenant did reimburse us for snow removal, luckily.
We discussed bed maintenance with a representative from RRR and received a quote. We hired RRR for regular bed maintenance, and found out after 1 1/2 yrs (because we weren't there often) of paying them that they were NOT maintaining one of the main beds we had requested.  When consulted about the lack of maintenance on the large bed, Mr. Riebel responded that they had never maintained that bed and thought we wanted it to go "natural."  After I, myself, spent an afternoon ripping out weeds from the bed instead of spending time with our family that I was visiting, Mr. Riebel's offer toward a negotiation was for us to pay them an additional $350 to have the bed cleaned up. Their quote had said "All beds" so I could not have known that they were not including one of the main beds I wanted maintained.
Our tenant complained of RRR being late for appointments, and of smoking and tossing cigarettes in the yard.
When we lived at the property and were only using them for Fall cleanups, we were happy with RRR's work, mostly with the workers. When we had to move away and be landlords for the property, RRR performed some tasks well, but I do not believe they were fair, and that they fell short in performing their duties. If you use RRR, I strongly recommend obtaining explicit descriptions and sketches of what they will and will not be doing.  With all the landscape companies in the area, I do not recommend using RRR.

Ryan and his team have done our yard maintenance and snow removal for 6 years or more.   He is very dependable and very good!   We can always count on  him.   Very dedicated and professional.   Always prompt and very honest.   I would not hesitate to recommend Ryan and his team!!

When Jeremy arrived at our home to take a look at the property and what we needed done, he was very professional and friendly.  He took the time to listen to our needs/concerns, understand them, and make suggestions.  He never tried to "push" services or sell us something we didn't want or need.  We actually talked for over an hour!  In about a week, he had sent us an estimate of the work.  My husband and I were please with the price.  We were originally going to just have the wooden timber retaining wall repaired, but because the price was much lower than we were anticipating, we decided to have it completely removed and a new retaining wall built with stone.  We contacted Jeremy to update the quote.  He came out to our home within a day or two to measure the wall we wanted replaced.  After we received the revised quote, the work was scheduled to begin a couple weeks later.  This may sound like a lot of time in between, but because of the nasty April we had, it really put landscapers behind.  I felt they did their best to get us in as quickly as possible. 
Jeremy and his helper arrived on a Thursday around 11:00 a.m. to begin work.   They worked until around 7:30 that evening.  Their work ethic was amazing!  Very nice and polite and they worked!  Only took a short break to grab a bite to eat.  Originally, they thought they could be done by the end of the day Friday or into the first part of Saturday.  But when they started tearing down our old wooden box, underneath the box, our drain tile was cracked.  He brought this to our attention and said they could repair, but didn't have the material with them that day.  Of course we had them repair so that took some extra time.  Our old timber retaining wall was built right against the edge of our deck.  After removing this wall, the deck edge was not straight.  This was an extra challenge for them when they were laying the base of the stone wall to make it straight.  Jeremy took the extra time and care to make sure this was done correctly.  This also added some time.  And the fact that the earth they had to grade back was full of clay made that task harder than normal.  With all this, they still finished everything by Monday afternoon (Sunday was their day off). 
Along the way, Jeremy kept us informed of his progress and what he was coming up against and explained to us the issues. 
The final price was only a couple hundred higher than the quote because of the extra cost of installing new drain tile.  Which we were anticipating.  Other than that, we were not charged a different price. 
About a week after they completed the job, we had some terrible hard rains.  There was some dirt that was coming out through the boulders they had put in to replace the old wooden box.  My husband called and left a message with the company.  The owner Ryan, called him back within 10 minutes. This was on a Wednesday and Ryan said they would be out Friday to take a look.  Wednesday night however, the owner Ryan, came to our home to check it out.  He was in the area having dinner and stopped by that night!  WOW!  That is customer service!  He explained to us that the dirt we were seeing was normal.  The earth was regraded and disturbed in that area so it has to settle.  But told us if it continued, to give them a call and they would be out.
I would definitely recommend RRR Lawn & Landscape.  Their work ethic and commitment to customer service and satisfaction is top notch!

I started using them in April of last year.  They have met my expectations.
