I would absolutely 100% never recommend this company to anyone. I contracted them to remove a fireplace and install windows. The quality of work was poor at best, the amount of trash left that I had to clean up was unacceptable, floors, furniture, carpet, deck boards and walls were damaged, the installers entered areas of my home where the work was not being performed and I had installers/subcontractors entering my home when there was no work scheduled or without being notified. I was boldfaced lied to by my sales person on numerous occasions. I was asked if it was okay for the installers use my bathroom, which I told them that I prefer they did not, so they chose to urinate off my front porch into my flower beds for all my neighbors to witness. I was told this would be a 1-week project, but received their schedule when work began and it turned into 4. Ultimately, this project took 28 weeks from the lack of communication without the job ever being completed by Home Specialists.

Let me say that Robert and his team were awesome. You're not just getting work done, you're letting someone into your home. Roberts team was just great. They were engaging and understanding that my 4 and 7 year old boys were curious about the work being done. They were super friendly, and lets face it, when there are strangers in your home that makes a big difference. They even tolerated some of my dirty jokes. The men that came out were extremely courteous of my home. I ended up having significant rot under some of the windows I had to have replaced. They replaced all they lumber and repaired everything. They remained friendly throughout the day. Truly a class act crew. I opted to do some finishing work myself to save on cost and they did a lot of the prep work for me. They vacuumed every room they worked in and even swept out my garage. From the time they arrived to the time they left I could tell that they understood that maintaining relationships and repeat business is at the heart of a business. Great experience.

Could not have been more pleased. We decided we could live in lower level since we had a partial kitchen and family room available. Workers were extremely polite and caring. Work completed on time and results exceeded our expectations. We had "lived thru, a complete remodeling of a home in another city that was very expensive. This project wasn't as large but costs were much more reasonable. That was the third of four projects where we've used Kevin and his company. And now he is working on another for the condo we've recently moved into.

We used Home Specialists LLC a year ago. We had to set it up so it wasn't like we called them and the next day we expected them to show up but they were pretty responsive. Everything looked excellent when they were done. We have actually considered them for doing other work in our house in the near future. If a friend would ask me about this company I would tell them that they were very professional. They were in our home for a couple of days because it was a bigger job and we were very comfortable having them in our home. They were nice guys, very on task, it was not like we were seeing them just standing around not doing much and getting paid for it. They were clean and they cleaned up after themselves really well. The finished work was really nice. They were good communicators. When we were talking to them about the process they were really good about walking us through what they were going to do and explain why they were going to do it that specific way and it was just good. It was wonderful. The quality was top notch, if you could give pluses, I would give 'A' plus. They always showed up, there was never any question whether they were going to be there and at what time. If there was any sort of change or something or if somebody was going to be late, they would always let us know in advance.

Easy to contact and get an estimate. Workers showed up when scheduled, actually a little early. Reattached siding as expected and everyting went smoothly. Would definitely use again if need arises.

garage door already rusting. siding was supposed to be white and look like house white siding, as in requested and was told would do, but siding is textured. personal garage entry soon wouldn't stay closed, I adjusted the door handle myself. / I was emailed a date to start services, no one showed. I called and was told that there was no record for that date, asked who I had spoken to and start date was rescheduled. I found the email sent me with the original start date and sent it to the company, for which a representative called and apologized, admitting they had not scheduled the date with their carpenters. / they did clean up the area well. the workers were nice, professional when I spoke to them.

This last summer, we interviewed several contractors for a series of home projects we wanted to complete. Kevin from Home Specialists made us feel at ease that we were not just dealing with someone who wanted to sell us. As we learned about his company, we became very sure of our decision.
He actually quoted us on two different projects - one for siding and attic insulation, plus another remodel project on our sunroom. We had an idea what to expect for the siding - our current horizontal siding would mean more demo than average, plus 2.5 ft soffits (and we have a lot of eave) meant about twice the cost of the average house. Our previous quotes for siding and insulation had ranged from $12,000 - 16,000, so we knew our ballpark.
However, we had no idea what to expect regarding the sunroom remodel. When our original idea was more than we wanted to spend, he offered us ideas on different, less costly solutions that might still provide the result we were looking for. He visited the house three times to walk us through the process...
We ended up just doing the siding and insulation, but are already saving up to complete the sunroom remodel, which Home Specialists will also do.
The process itself, starting with the demo of half the siding boards through the installation of the siding and attic insulation was as painless as I could hope for. The crew made me feel very at ease (I can tell you that is not always the case with other construction workers that have been at our home), and their supervisor was amazing. Rick answered every question I had patiently and was clearly concerned with our satisfaction in the end result. I worked from home during the week (actually 4.5 days) of the installation and had to be called away for a work emergency at one point. I didn't hesitate to leave my house open for them and was able to walk away feeling comfortable.
The end result is beautiful - we feel like we have a new house. We can only offer our highest recommendation!

Kevin did initial consultation and estimate, was courteous and thoughtful, and even helped us with some practical changes to our design plan.
Install was done on time and on schedule. Crew was fantastic, and quality of work was top notch. No complaints, turned out fantastic. Our painter commented on how good of a Job they did with install and trim work, much better than he is used to seeing.

Home Specialist did a great job. Kevin came out and we talked about all the issues and option that might come up. The installers were very good and did a good job removing the old windows and were very good with using plastic and tarps to keep thnigs clean. they also cleaned up after each day they were there. The new windows went in well except one in the baathroom. They stopped and got me to review a number of options to see what I thought. We picked one of the options and they finished up. was very nice they did instead of just doing what they thought. overall very well done

My father had contacted Pella Windows to get a new sliding door for the back of his house in June. The Pella salesman arrived and oversaw the work being done by Home Specialists. When my father asked the Pella salesman if he could do the front door as well (the double storm door there was old and sticking), Pella said they didn't have doors that would work on the front entrance. The workmen at Home Specialists overheard the conversation, took measurements and said they'd get back to Dad as soon as they could (which was within the week).
In July, Home Specialists came back out and installed Dad's new double-storm door. From what I understand it was a custom build (which might explain why the cost was higher). They sealed all areas around the door with weather stripping and caulk and the door looks wonderful. I've visited my father since he's had this door put in and can attest that they did a great job.

punctual, professional, courteous and excellent workmanship. I was happy with their work at the end of the engagement. Good attention to detail. These were indirect service providers. I plan to use their services for remodelling and repair work for other items in the house. They cleanup well afterwards too !
