My Bryant furnace started acting up in the middle of winter around 1 year ago on a Sunday. I cringed when this happened because I know service calls  on weekends let alone a Sunday is expensive. I had a bit of an idea what might be wrong so I called the Bryant Contractor who originally installed the system.  Whoever was on call gave me the run around about getting the part and that it will take him a bit of time because he lives out of town. So I went to the Bryant website. I called Engelsma Heating bc they were also listed in the Bryant website. Tim said he had the part and can be by in 30 min. He gave me an idea what it would cost which sounded reasonable, and much less than what the other outfit quoted me.

After 30 min or less working on it he had my furnace going again. If I recall he only charged me for the part.  My impression was that they were not out to get me and getting me back on service was their priority. I found them to be reliable and will not do work that is unnecessary. Engelsma should be a model for all heating contractors for the way they do business. Based on this experience I would highly recommend them.

My system is almost 20 years old and am planning on replacing it soon. I will definitely give Engelsma a call for an estimate when the time comes.

Ted and his son did a great job on my new furnace and AC. It took a little while to figure out financing end of things. If you get a furnace, you owe it to your self to check different financing out there. I ended up going for Credit union approval which paved the way. These guys are very courteous and did really good work.

I woke up one Saturday morning last January and noticed the house was cold. Realized my Bryant furnace was not working. After a quick investigation, I pin pointed the problem as the induced combustion air fan was not working (have a little HVAC background). I first called the company that installed the unit 15 years ago as I thought they would be best to handle it. Being a weekend, the on-call technician answered. I explained the problem and told him what was wrong and what the charges might be. He started giving me the run down that he did not ahve the part and that he would have to get it from the parts warehouse. I would have to pay the warehouse fee, the weekend charge fee, etc, etc. and to expect a charge of a little over $1000. And it might be a while before he shows up because he lives an hour away and he has to drive back to town, etc. I told him that I will call around and see if I can get someone else to come sooner.I went to the Bryant website and found the 'other' Bryant contractor - Englesma. I called their number and it was answered by the owner. I told him the problem and he said he can come over right away as he knew he had the part. He told me the work was going to cost me around $400. Needless to say, I asked him to come on over.He showed up in less than 30 minutes and proceeded to replace the bad part. In less than an hour, the work was done he charged me $400. He was very good to work with and confirmed that my diagnosis was correct which helped cut down on figuring out what was wrong. I found Engelsma very responsive and I did not have to deal with red tape. I have told others about my experience as I was very happy with them.
