They were very unprofessional and charged a lot of money.
The prices were very reasonable, especially for the windows -- we had expected to pay more. Soon after we agreed to have the windows and the basement shower done, Dave Balahoski had the new windows here and began installation. These are big quality double-hung windows, and the holes required some finessing to get them in. Dave handled the siding removal and re-install and the window installation with no problem -- the windows look great both inside and out.
Then work began on the basement shower -- once he opened up the space, he realized he could design the shower to make the most of the space and include a shower seat. He knew we wanted to tile the shower ourselves to save money -- he asked if we were up to putting in the shower pan and the concrete floor slightly sloped to the drain. Once he described the process, we knew it would require more finesse than we felt sure about. We asked him to do that and it was no problem. He worked long hours for a week to get everything done. He opened up the concrete floor to place the drain correctly; patched the floor; framed the shower, seat, and bulkhead to conceal a standpipe, installed a light and vent fan; then sealed up the shower with cementboard and poured the floor to drain correctly. (He displays an incredible mastery of concrete!
Dave was efficient, hard-working, friendly, easy to work with, very knowledgeable, and affordable on top of all that. We were so impressed!
