Description of Work: Some shingles were dangling and then fell off and Avalon replaced them.

Description of Work: Inspected roof due to water pouring into kitchen on main floor of 2 story home. Said roof probably has 2-3 years left but boots around exhaust pipes were broken and decayed. Replaced two boots around pipes. No issues since then with water. Paid 300 up front, 300 when done. I did not know they had completed the work though. Had to call them to verify. I climbed up and checked it, and it looked good as far as I could tell. Easy to deal with. Did Not receive a high pressure pitch. I didn't want to buy a timeshare and thankfully Avalon did not present that nonsense. The rep was to the point and got up on the roof to actually look at it.

Description of Work: We had a new roof installed - The cost was a fair figure for what had to be done Everything that was going to be done to complete the job was explained in full detail - All questions were answered - The workers started at 8:00am and quit around 6:00pm the first day, and they needed to come back the next day for a few hours to complete job - They cleaned everything up completely each day before they left each time they were here. I would say that Carl and his crew were the best anyone could expect - So far everything appears to be fine and it looks great -

Description of Work: Replaced skylight, including roofing around area. Also fixed rubber sealants around pipe while they were up there. The work was delayed over the winter due to the weather. There was some confusion initially in the back office with the measuring and ordering of the window, but it resolved just fine.

Description of Work: New roof. This crew was very fast and good. Roof job took 6 hr tear off to finish.

Description of Work: They are so high pressure and slick. They really, really want you to finance the job with them. When I declined, they kept calling back with "new oportunities."

Description of Work: Roof tear off and replacement as well as complete gutter installation around house perimeter. Overall a job well done.

Description of Work: First of all, they cleaned all our gutters and repaired numerous downspouts. Avalon went above and beyond, making sure they did exactly what we wanted. Second, they replaced 6 wood pillars on the front of our home, changing them to aluminum. I was worried that we would lose the look we wanted by changing to aluminum. Then we changed the size of the pillars and because of their prior quote, they did not charge us more. The person they sent to replace the pillars was experienced with this type of job (a touchy job because one old pillar would be removed and support provided in its place, then support removed and new pillar installed). The installer did an excellent job! There is still a small bit of caulking that must be done but the new pillars are beautiful and we preserved the look we wanted. (And now that I know what their sign looks like, I noticed their sign on 72nd where they put siding up on a house...the home looks beautiful with the new siding!)

Description of Work: 09/2015 Larry come for an estimate, intro himself as partner/owner, contract signed. 10/2015 none English speaking work crew was sent to do the work,can't communicate, work was not done correct. Larry came to the house to collect money,we complained, after awhile, he got mad and started to "F " this and "F" that, we told him to leave. Then Dan claimed to be his manager, we said Larry is the owner, why'd we want to talk to a manager, Dan said Larry lied, and that Dan is the boss. Dan came to the house we settled and we paid in full $13,200.00. 2 months later there was strong wind and our new roof had some of the shingles blew off, none of our neighbors has any problems, but our new roof. So we called Dan, he was at a xmas party and got angry because we interrupted his good time, and hung up on us as we ask for repair before the rain. Later he did send out a repair guy but told me that he will not have the right color shingles and that the repair guy will just cover the effected areas with whatever they got then come back next week with the right color shingles to finish the job. They never came back after 3 weeks, we called Dan today, 01/18/16 and he said he's not sure he wants to finish the work because we complained to the BBB. As of now, our brown roof with some black pieces of tar papers cover still is not fixed.

Description of Work: WITHOUT MAKING A LONG STORY; THEY I WAS ASSURED THEY WOULD TAKE ONE DAY BUT IT TOOK 4-5 DAYS. THEY PUT ON MAIN ROOF AND ROOFED A KITCHEN BUMP-OUT. I KEPT TELLING THEM THE FLASHING AROUND CHIMNEY WAS NOT RIGHT BUT THEY IGNORED ME. AS SOON AS THE FIRST RAIN....A WATERFALL IN THE ATTIC [NOT KIDDING]. THE DAMAGE TO THE SIDING IS STILL NOT REPAIRED. THE DAMAGE TO THE DRIVEWAY IS STILL NOT REPAIRED. SEEMS LIKE ONCE THE SALESMAN WAS GIVEN THE BALANCE CHECK, THEY LEFT AND NEVER RETURNED. I TALKED TO THE OWNER AND BEGGED HIM TO JUST STOP BY AND LOOK FOR HIMSELF. HE NEVER SHOWED. YOU COULDN'T PAY ME TO USE THEIR SERVICE EVER AGAIN.

Description of Work: A gentlemen came out and gave an estimate. My husband and I discussed it and agreed to 50% down and the rest at finish. We called multiple times and no return phone call. Needless to say we spent our $12000 with another contractor.

Description of Work: They were great with scheduling especially around the weather as I was getting a new roof. The only thing I would mark them down for was the workers constant smoking and they left the back yard gate open and my dog was loose in the neighborhood. Lucky she didn't wander too far and I don't live on a busy street

Description of Work: Installed new lifetime warranty roof and replaced 10 windows. The sales rep was a "hard press" sell. Not all the information I was given initially was accurate. The sub contractor who installed the windows was great and did a good job. The roofing team was great as well. They were very conscientious and paid attention to detail. Once roof was inspected for guarantee and follow up work was needed the house had damage due to ladder placed directly against gutter. I was not satisfied when I spoke to owner's response when I followed up on that.
