Very good. The work was done in two days. Carl and his men did a excellent job doing the roof and sky light. Also, Larry Sidebotham, the estimator work with me on what had to be done and the financing options.

Larry contacted us and gave us a very reasonable estimate to replace our roof---a complete tear-off, re-roof and disposal of all waste materials, all the way down to the cedar shakes, replacing fascia, rebuilding a porch overhang and re-doing a flat portion of our roof. Carl was the head of the team and was excellent at what he/they do. He explained everything they had to do, making a few changes on the materials that we needed, including a thicker rolled roofing material and extra (30+) sheets of plywood they needed. They ordered a thicker plywood and thicker rolled roofing material because our house is pretty old. . We have a 25 year warranty on labor and 50 year warranty on materials. We could not be ANY happier with the results, the professionalism of the team and customer service!!! Everything was A++++++++++!!! Avalon is a company you can trust, get EXCELLENT results and their estimate is what you pay. All waste materials were cleaned up, all the way down to the last nails and shingle bits and pieces. It went great. I had ice building up on the edge of my roof and causing damage inside my house. I called Avalon and Larry came out within a day to take a look. It is still really cold so the ice isn't melting. He told me he could schedule the work for the following week. 3 days later he was having the work done. He gave me a discount because of the time of year (not a lot of roofing going on in Michigan in February) and he gave me the top of the line warranty, the Golden Pledge Warranty. They were very professional and clean. No mess left behind. Larry always answered my calls and followed up on any questions. He is even going to help me fix my front screen door. I was scared because I am a single woman and was afraid of being taken advantage of, but he is an honest guy and did well by me. I would recommend them to anyone. The one warning I want to give is don't have your roof done if there is snow on it. The snow has to go somewhere and since it is currently icy, I can't shovel or snow blow it out of my drive. So, I can't get into my garage. I'm hoping it warms up enough to melt some more and hopefully I'll be in my garage before the week is out. Today Larry himself came over and actually shoveled my driveway! Also they do other work like windows and siding and I had mentioned needing a new screen door. He said he'd fine me one at his cost and even have his guys install it. It is RARE that someone goes above and beyond like he did for his company!

Larry was the first contact and he was totally awesome! He explains everything really well and shows you all of your options. When the guys came out, it was winter time, and they did all of this work in the snow and cold and even on my steep-pitched roof. Their work was phenomenal and the guys doing the work were really nice and courteous. Jerry and his son Jerry, and another guy named Scott were all out doing the work. They finished quickly and cleaned up everything. They took about 7 working days to do the entire job. I would definitely use these guys again. They also gave me a 2% military discount. My house looks so much better since they've done the work! I found them by googling on the internet. One of the other reasons that I used them was because they are the only company that I called that actually has somebody answering the phone! I am also going to have them install new porch windows for me. They finance everything, too, if you need that and do not bill you until they are FINISHED with the work, so no worrying about giving somebody a lot of money and not getting the work done. :) Kudos to Avalon! The new gutters work great with the exception of one corner, which needs to be resealed in the spring. Avalon is aware of the problem and will come in the spring to reseal the one corner. This corner is in particular difficult area, so we knew it might have problems to begin with. I am very satisfied with their promise to return in the spring to reseal it. Andy did excellent work, although the promise to communicate in advanced when they showed up for work did not happen. The apologized for not calling ahead. Andy worked quickly and we love the new gutters, they work great. I would use Avalon again any time and probably will in the future.

After the initial call Larry showed up on time and was very, very knowledgeable about roofs, and in particular my style of home. He lives and coaches football in my neighborhood, so with this vast experience about residential roofs I immediately felt at ease with my potential big purchase. Larry was right on point with all the issues associated with my roof, ice dams and leaking. He said he could do the repair where I was having the most issues (in the valley) but the repair would only be a temporary and very expensive fix. I needed a new roof. Working with Larry made the process easy, he explained all the options, made recommendations, and Avalon only requires a $500.00 deposit to start. As promised Larry sent an excellent crew, all Avalon employees. Carl was outstanding and supervised the crew exactly as Larry described. With over a decade of experience Carl had further suggestions for my roof in the vulnerable areas to ensure 100% satisfaction. The crew did a great job, and clean-up was beyond my expectations. I would highly recommend Avalon, they offer a competitive price, but more importantly a 25 year warranty and the crew are Avalon employees. Buying a new roof is a big decision, so please consider Avalon.

Our picture window was broken during a storm and we contacted Avalon to repair it. They were able to match the other windows in my house and the installation was done within two days after they began. The area was clean when finished and they even picked up the broken glass from the damage. The workers were very nice and did their best to provide great customer service. I would certainly recommend Avalon again.

My roof had been damaged by a tornado and I contacted Avalon Building Concepts to get an estimate. The salesman, Larry, (who is awesome!) came the day after I called for service, which was a Monday. After looking over the damage, he clearly explained what was needed and we agreed to have Avalon do the work. The installation of the new roof began the very next day and was completed within that week. It was incredible! The tornado took a large toll on our community and there was a great need for contractors during this time. In addition, due to the volume of work needing to be completed, my insurance company was forced to outsource for adjusters from other states and I was concerned about the knowledge and competency of these individuals. When I expressed this, Larry even came out to meet with the insurance adjuster to ensure he knew exactly what type of damage occurred and if he hadn't, the adjuster would have missed several key damage points. My roof looks great and I am now talking to Larry about beginning some work on my elderly mother's home as we prepare to sell it. I would recommend Avalon Building Concepts to anyone and everyone! My husband and I are very happy with the service we received from Avalon. I called and left a message and Larry got back to us within 24-48 hours. Larry went above and beyond to provide exceptional service, even arguing on our behalf with the insurance company. He was very honest, personable and easy to communicate with. Jim, the head of the construction crew who performed the work was very professional. He kept my husband and I up to date on what he was doing and when he expected things to be completed, which was much appreciated. The entire crew did a fantastic job and cleaned up everything when they left. I couldn't be more happy with the outcome and would recommend Avalon to anyone!

We had Larry come out and do an estimate. He was very thorough and professional. He explained everything very well. We had gotten two estimates from other companies but felt most comfortable with Larry. He was honest but did not try to scare us into getting a new roof. Supplies were ordered and delivered quickly. Due to rainy weather the crew wasn't able to get started for a few days. Despite inclement weather they kept what they weren't working on covered for protection and were able to get our new roof on in two short work days. Carl was the head of our crew. He walked me around the entire house and explained the process and answered all of my questions. Our new roof is beautiful and we are so glad we worked with a company who was able to get it on before snow! Thank you Avalon!

Larry got to the house and was very nice and friendly yet professional. Larry inspected the existing roof and educated me about the latest and greatest product that would be ideal for this roof. When he told me the price it was clear that it is way over our current budget. Larry was nice enough to suggest a quick fix my husband can preform to expend the life of the roof until we are ready to replace the roof with the new more durable product. I feel confident we will contact Avalon in the future for replacing the roof.

Everything went quite smoothly. The estimator/project contact was Jeremy. He explained details of the products, process and cost clearly and without demanding an immediate decision. I got two other estimates and went with Avalon Building. It's fall and scheduling was a little complicated by weather but they got my rather small projects in as quickly as possible. The people who did the work were professional, efficient and cleaned up thoroughly. They did leave some materials in the yard for awhile but eventually got everything. I will need some work on a porch done in the spring and will call Avalon for a bid. They did a good job with these projects and were really nice to work with.

Their Sub Contractor worked very hard but weather became a factor. Had some problems with the job (not too unusual). After all was said and done these guys stepped up to handle the problems when they probably could have just written it off. Much appreciated. Salesman Jeremy was very good to deal with.

Never thought how redoing kitchen would affect day to day life and length of project. A lot of Changes and bumps throughout but when kitchen was done I'm in love with it!!! The work began in April and it took just a couple of days to complete everything. I found an issue with a water leak running down the stones on the outside part of my stone fireplace. It was tough to find where the leak was coming from, but they were very persistant in getting it fixed and done to my satisfaction. There was also a couple issues with the gutter installation, but these issues were also solved quickly and to my complete satisfaction. Their customer service rep. (Larry Sidebotham) was exceptional at making sure that every issue was taken care in a timely manor and to my complete satisfaction. I really appreciated his help. I honestly beleve Avalon Building Concepts is the comany to go to and I'll probably go to them for any future projects around my home.

The removal of the electric service mast from my roof left it with a two inch hole. The roof is only 6 years old, so I wanted it fixed correctly by a professional. Over the span of two weeks I emailed and called the original installer of the roof, multiple times. I received no response. I suspect they didn?t want to be bothered with such a small repair job. Then I started calling other companies. Few called me back. All but one that did said that they only repaired roofs that they had installed themselves. However, Avalon Building Concepts agreed to come out to see what was needed. The estimator, Jeremy, arrived on time. I showed him what I thought needed to be done. I told him I had some shingles left from the original installation that could be used for the repair. He told me that sending out a crew for such a small job would be expensive. Then he asked if I had the tools that would be required to do the work. When I told him that I did, he said that he would do the repair himself, right then. Twenty minutes later the roof was repaired. The next time I need someone to do home repair or home remodeling, I will call Avalon first.

Ryan was quick to come and size our windows so that our order would be placed and windows installed before the weather cooled. Windows were installed three weeks later by a great crew. They even took the old windows with them!

We found Avalon's work to be very professional. The roofers were efficient, polite and informative. We were very happy with the final result.

The estimate was friendly with the representative listening carefully to our desires. He answered all our questions and provided samples until we found what we desired. He carefully listed all materials and work to be done in a clear written proposal and served as the contract when we signed it avoiding any changes or deletions. Due to many other jobs before us it took time to arrive to install the windows. Then, the siding manufacturer was behind in making orders. They did find another good brand with a color that matched even closer to what we sought. It arrived in just over a week and the next week the installation began. The workers carefully worked to remove necessary items, put up the moisture barrier and then the siding. With delays of rainy days and holidays, they, without rushing, completed the work with quality precision for an excellent result.

Everything was done correctly and thorough. He did a good job with finding out what needed to be done and said he would have someone out within the week. He recommended getting a specialized chimney person first. He was very personable and professional.

I had done business with Avalon before and they did more than I asked when they insulated my attic..After we had a tornado the 6th of july I called them within 72 hours. Larry was their pointman and he was out within hours. Larry was on top of it . Larry worked with my insurance company and within 24 hours Avalon had my roofs done. Within 72 hours after that the siding and everything else was done. I have recomended them to others and they are using Avalon.

Carl Durant and his crew were assigned to perform the work on our project. Carl is extremely experienced and knowledgeable, and takes great pride in making sure the customer gets a first class job done. Because of Carl's expertise the scope of our project was actually narrowed somewhat when he determined that the cause of some of our issues was not related to the roof, but resulted from other causes. That resulted in the actual work performed being tailored exactly to our needs. I was kept informed and understood at all times exactly what was being done---or not done---and why. Carl's crew conducted them selves in a very professional way, with extreme attention to the details of the work, maintaining a safe worksite, and cleaning everything up repeatedly as the project progressed. Because of Avalon's approach and job performance the overall project created a great deal of trust between me and its representatives......and the roof looks great.

From the first initial contact to the roof, I couldn't have been happier. I knew exactly what I was getting and understood everything the guys were doing.

If you need a new roof, you must call Larry! I could not be more pleased. Larry met with me on a Friday and the following Friday, the roof was complete. The work and materials are of excellent quality. Larry was in contact with me for the entire project and all of my concerns were addressed up front. The crew did a fantastic job of cleaning up and working around my heavily landscaped yard. I have and would recommend Avalon Building Concepts to all of my acquaintances.
