This experience went very poorly. They did start on time early on Monday morning. They worked until 8pm Monday night and until 10pm Tuesday night. Wednesday no one showed up and there was still material, ladder, traps, and wheel barrow in my yard. Thursday morning when I contacted them, I was promised they would be wrapping up the project that morning but they did not leave until 8pm that night and did not take the remaining materials. I reached out again and asked for those to be picked up Friday so that I could mow the grass. They said they'd be out to get them right away. Sunday I moved it all into my garage so I could finally mow, they never came to get this. I have had to wash my siding and use goo-gone to get marks off that were left from this projects. The crew dented up my gutter guard so much it is visible from the street. I also have had to apologize to my neighbors and help them pull nails out of their lawns that the crew did not clean up. Overall I'm really disappointed. The quality of the roof remains to be seen. This project left me with a really bad impression of their company, I would never recommend them.

The Avalon crew exceeded our expectations! The management team specifically Ryan Perry was very knowledgeable and offered options for the updates we requested. Very flexible and understanding as we continued to explore the options prior to final ordering. We developed a complete trust in a true professional who lives customer satisfaction. The roof was a complete tear off and replacement of a few sheets of wood. The entire job took less than 8 hours. Excellent crew! The new Bow Window was installed flawlessly and in a few hours. I would definitely recommend Avalon and plan to use them again.

It went well. They did a good job and quickly. They did a good job cleaning up and the price was right. No complaints.

David at Avalon did a great job explaining products and the company. The crew did a top notch job. Clean up was amazing, I would highly recommend to family and friends, In fact my son and neighbors are using Avalon due to the great job they did for us.

Generally a bad experience all around. Talked a good talk, performance was poor. A couple weeks after contract signed, they called and asked for $500 down payment in check format and said then needed to physically picked it up the next day. Soffit work was not done as stated in the contract. Old soffits were not removed. It wasn't until I inspected the work after the first day and found the old plywood soffit was still in place and told by Avalon team that the soffit was "structural." Eventually negotiated they did not have to remove old soffit, because they were using it to structurally support the new, but could cut out the center so the new vented soffit would actually vent the attic. Soffit for front porch and eave also not cut open - spent good money to ventilate the plywood and not the attic. Was told that it wasn't correct to vent over open porch.... BS. Had to watch the workers to ensure they were actually cutting holes in old soffit. Gutter work was great, although, they showed up with wrong materials first day even though the contract indicated large gutter downspouts, returned the second day and completed job mostly - did not include gutter drains, they used my flexible lines from old gutters instead.

I haven't yet got my roof installed, crew will be here in a couple of weeks or sooner. (I'll post a new review when its completed) Avalon salesman Mike V, did a great job on explaining to me and my whole family step by step how it all works. We didn't think we could afford a new roof but he explained our options perfectly. My family is excited on seeing the final result. If you need anything done from Avalon, ask for Mike to come out.

The 10 member team arrived on Saturday morning at 8:00 am and the roof was torn off and replaced by 5:00 pm. A cleanup crew arrived in the afternoon and completed their work on schedule. I would grade the work and cleanup with an A. A follow up visit took place the following week, to review the completed work and a siding issue was fixed. As an aside, I would like to mention that Avalon also completed two homes across the street from our home during the same week. As Hubert Humphrey would say, "I'm as pleased as punch".

Conversation had on my second call 14 days after completion, I stated quality of work was good, total job done in 4 hours by 1 man. But conversation verged on aggressive compulsion to justify charges. Offered me a $500 price reduction but I sent a check off for full second half because a) I didn't trust him and b) there was nothing fair and equitable about the conversation. I hope to save the next customer from not asking enough questions during initial sales pitch and not reading enough of reviews here to get to the D level befor making a choice. Good contractor did work but prepare to be overcharged.

Mike asked us to let him know when the insurance adjuster would be here so he could be here as well. He showed the adjuster the photos he took when he was here and gave his recommendation. That really helped as the adjuster agreed with everything he said. The entire roof was replaced. The work was done well and the crew did a great job cleaning up. We're very happy with the results.

The actual installation went fine. Our problems are with the customer service following installation. We discovered that one window had a failed seal and contacted them for a replacement, which was ordered. This was inJanuary. When the window finally came in, they did not call us--we had to call them to find out it was delivered broken, it was re-ordered. We did not hear anything for weeks, and our second call revealed that the second window ordered did not show up because it did not pass inspection. Third call--Weeks later an installer came out to replace the window to discover that the wrong size had been ordered. Fourth call revealed that the window had come in, but it was the wrong color. The fifth call this past week (it is now mid-April) reveals that somehow, it was not on the delivery truck. The office told us that they would call us back when they figured out the situation, but we have heard nothing. We have always had to be the one initiating the phone calls and pressing for information--Avalon has not been the one to contact us anywhere in this process. The initial service was fine, but you'd better hope you don't have any problems afterward!

I thought it was alright until it snowed. We originally had spots where the roof would leak. I told him where the hot spot was, I called 6-7 times and they made an appointment. We had 7-8 Inches on the roof and no one would come out and look at it. The three times they followed through with making appointments they never came out.They won't listen to me every time I talk about the issue, they ignore it and try to tell me I have a different issue.

Our salesman, Mike V. was very helpful in picking out colors and what to expect from the work crew. My wife and I filed an insurance lain due to wind damage. Mike came out to help with the insurance adjusters inspection and walked me through the process. The work will be done in a few weeks but I've seen their work around town and they do a great job.

We were very pleased with Mike V (sales representative) who walked us through the products that Avalon offers, how the insurance claim process works, and gave us a sense of security regarding our home. Despite the high-volume of claims that were in the area as a result of the storm, Mike was available to us by phone and came to our house more than once including when the adjuster was investigating our damage to ensure that they saw all of the areas that would need to be documented in the claim. Mike also expedited our temporary repair by getting our damaged roof covered with tarp to prevent further damage/leaking by an storm that was on the way. I only have good things to say about the service that we received and will continue to use the company and recommend them to anyone with need.

Mike V. was our service representative who arrived promptly, was very professional and knowledgeable. He inspected our roof and identified possible storm damage from a recent storm. He suggested contacting our insurance, made the phone call and came to the inspection visit to assist and inquire on his concerns. To our surprise, it was appropriate for an insurance claim and we now have a great roof. The installers were also very professional and prompt. We're very happy with the whole process and thank Mike V. and all the staff who helped with our roofing needs.

I contacted Avalon via their website. They called me back and set up an appointment for someone to come out and give me an estimate. No one ever showed up for the appointment or called me about it.

They were not the cheapest but are by far exceeding any other warranty out there by any other roofer. Most will cover their work for 20-30 years maybe even lifetime, but that only covers the shingle. You gotta put it on or pay to have it done. Avalon will replace and install any shingle that might blow off for a period of 50 years. The warranty is transferable one time. Also if any damage is done to the inside of the home due to a roof failure, Avalon will also repair that under the warranty.

Very well! The crew took off repaired panels and installed the new roof in 1 day, 7am to 7pm.

Everybody was really nice and quick to answer any questions and give advice.

I was very impressed with Mike VanSuilichem. He went out and took a look at the roof. He explained that he did not see any damage on the roof. He also gave us an idea about why there might have been some water dripping through the vent due to hail but not with rain. He calmed our fears and we were very appreciative. Thanks Mike!
