Starting with an inventory of only 25 used cars and trucks in 1981, the dealership has grown to become Michigan's largest used car and truck dealer carrying an inventory of over 400 new and 900 used cars and trucks. I bought my son a car from here, it was nothing short of a nightmare. Within 30 minutes of leaving the dealership the car broke down. We drove right back to Sundance (barely able to accelerate) and told them what had happened. They said they would have it looked at. Two days later they said their mechanics can’t troubleshoot the problem since it’s a Mazda and it will need to go to a Mazda dealer for service. The soonest they could get it in would be two weeks, I told them this was not acceptable so they said I could take it to my mechanic, which I did. my mechanic said it was the transmission. I called and told the guy who sold us the car and he said we will need a second opinion. So then we waited the two weeks for the Mazda dealer to see it. Once it was at the Mazda dealer they let us know they updated the software but if it does it again it’s the transmission. We drove it home and it began jerking and hesitating to accelerate. Back to Sundance we went and told them we do not want the car, we just want something reliable and this is not it. They took it for a test drive and said it drives great we are not letting you switch into another car. And here we are a month later with a car that can’t even be driven. Management is useless, they didn’t try to help or listen. Basically said sorry and washed their hands of us.

Purchased a 2009 Pontiac Vibe from Sundance in March 2014 for approx. 10k with 3 year warranty for an additional 3k. The car began to have numerous issues after approx. a year. I took the car to Sundance to service one of these issues and had to pay out of pocket because the repair "was not covered by warranty". I then cancelled warranty for partial refund as I did not see value if it would not cover the repairs I needed. About 2 months later I had to replace the engine out of pocket. I am now having to replace the engine for a second time. I don't believe I have much legal recourse as this is a used vehicle but I contacted Sundance to see if they would have the integrity to stand by the defective vehicle they sold me and do ANYTHING to remedy the situation. Shockingly they did not. I would urge consumers to avoid this dealer at all costs.
