Excellent service from Doug. He basically diagnosed the issue over the phone, arrived promptly on the morning we scheduled, and fixed the issue quickly. A real pleasure to work with.

The replacement went smoothly. The technician arrived at the time promised and was very professional. He carefully explained how the new opener operated and made sure I had no further questions. I would definitely hire them again. I liked that they were locally owned.

I was worried that I was going to need a new door but the door worked fine after being braced and the cost was much less than I expectec.

It went fine. The technician showed up on time and was pleasant to work with. Very professional.

The estimate was provided quickly, and I had a couple of different options to consider in terms of door style, insulation, and belt drive options. It does take a few weeks between the time of down payment for the door to be manufactured and shipped to the company for installation. Doug was responsive, did a good job installing the door and belt drive opener, and accommodating of my need to do some painting of the garage door jamb.

Doug arrived and identified the door height issue quickly and made the adjustments to my door springs. He noted that whoever installed the garage door originally only set the spring pressure for a 7' door height and not for 8' door height that we have. I was given an estimate over the phone when I called to schedule which was great. It was noted that I was located a little farther than his normal trip charge and an additional charge was included in the estimate provided for those members looking at the cost of service to compare. This is something I am used when hiring professionals for where I live. It is not unusual for me to pay extra for professional services at my home so it wasn't a big deal to me. Overall this repair went better than I anticipated as it was a quick fix and was serviced. I did get another quote from another company at the same time that was cheaper but based on their Angie's List rating of "D", I went with "A" rated Mid-Michigan Overhead Door and was very satisfied. This was the first time I've hired to have a garage door serviced and will go to Mid-Michigan Overhead Door when I do.

While it was the second year I had this same problem it was fixed at a discounted rate. I am pleased with their service.

Fixed the problem. In addition botom door seal was reinforced, opener lights were repaired, and door was lubricated. The scope of work was beyond my expectations and done quickly.

Very well. Contractor showed up on time. Serviced the components and explained what kind of issues may develop in the future. Worked efficiently. Total service charge was reasonable given the travel time needed and time needed to service the doors.

Had a minor accident (car vs. garage door, loser = door). The door was dented, knocked partially off its tracks, the sensors were bent way out of alignment, and one track was warped. Called Overhead Door of Mid-Michigan first thing the next morning. No appointments were available that day (no surprise), so scheduled a meeting for the next. Frankly I was worried if the door could even be fixed - it's old, and to my untrained eye it looked pretty bad. Doug arrived within our agreed-upon meeting window, took a look and told me he'd go get his tools. About 45 minutes later, he knocked & told me I was all set. No mention at all of replacing anything, just got the job done. And I was genuinely surprised at how reasonable it was. Can't thank them enough for taking care of us so quickly and affordably, and they will have our business if we need any other service on our garage door.

A piece of wood slipped down from the garage storage and braced the pull so it stripped a part..the door no longer would attach to the lift. I had Prior : Overhead door of Lansing (NOT these guys that did the work) out: they canceled a couple times. Ordered wring part etc etc so I said the heck with them and called MID MICHIGAN overhead door, Doug came out ON TIME> had to check for a part and made appt for about a week later. ALL fixed..He was on time BOTH times, nice guy. BE CAREFUL II had mixed up the names: the other kinda sucks....names a very similar. Wont make that mistake again! Thanks Mid Mich overhead door.

I contacted the company to check for problems with my old garage door opener, which had not been working properly for a long time. Doug came over twice. The first time he did an inspection and suggested an replacement, which I completely agreed with (it was a really old model). He then provided a quote for the replacement work, including parts and labor. He came back couple days later to do the replacement. It went very well, and he explained to me the operating instructions and other related issues before he left. the opener has been working excellently for quite a few months now. Their price was very reasonable, and he did not charge for the inspection visit. You can also find info. on the models they use, including costs, from their website. Doug arrived on time and very easy to work with/talk to. Scheduling with them went smoothly. Overall they are very professional to work with.

We gave them a deposit of $14,000. After 8 months we still did not have any garage doors. After a lot of threats of prosecution and various other things, he finally returned our deposit. He took our deposit and didn’t provide the merchandise. The experience was all bad. The price was good. The owner of the business is Bill Gerken. He has changed company names several times.

We got a top of the line garage door because we wanted it insulated. They gave us lots of options and had brochures that we could look at. The price was reasonable. I had to call them back.
