TruGreen Lawn Care - 5789

I was very happy with Scott's, but they ended up selling out to True Green. I had True Green in the past, but was not happy with their service. I had some issues with trying to get the maintenance scheduled with True Green. When Scott's took over after True Green, my yard started to improve. After Scott's sold though, I am now looking for someone else to use.

went well, came when called, very nice workers. responsive to calls, still waiting for bare spots to recover, just stated overseading, time will tell check back in the spring

They did a good job when they came out. My neighbors were using them when I hired them last year. But I cut my own lawn now. I thought their prices were rather high that is why I only used them once.  I would probably not use them again in the future.

I just never put the energy into changing. Their billing is not user friendly and I give them a B overall rating. Knowing what I know I probably would not have started using them.

They do a good job and the lawn looks great. I would use them again in the future.

We like that they are doing it instead of us. They are about the same price as everybody else so it doesn't matter but they are the ones going out there and throwing the poisons and fertilizers instead of us. We’ve had patches that they were supposed to fill in and we got weeds where there was supposed to be grass. They are right there when they want that paycheck.

We have 8/10 of an acre and we used Trugreen for two summers. In 2010, they did a great job at turning our lawn around. We had trouble with crabgrass and black medic, and their chemicals stopped the problem.

We stopped using Trugreen at the end of the summer of 2011. The main problem was the price and the over-fertilizing. We noticed that our neighbor's lawn looked better than ours, and we found out they were paying a lot less. They had a beautiful lawn and were paying 20% less per treatment, and they only needed 5 treatments per year. We were paying a lot more for 7 treatments per year, and our lawn didn't look as perfect and lush.

Trugreen has to charge such high prices because they have to cover their marketing costs. If they'd charge less and do fewer treatments per year, they'd do everyone a favor.

I had used them for a couple of years and things got worse and worse. I will never use them again.

They did the shubbery sprays - kind of. They did the lawn fertilizing on 4/23,7/8 and 9/16. They never did do the late fall application although they marked the 9/16 ap as number 4. They claim they did a third ap - they didn't. All along they kept trying to sell other services, often ones that were inappropriate. For example, lawn aeration for a sandy lawn? Or worse, application of lime to a lawn that is already 8.0 ph! They clearly do not know what they're doing, but are high pressure on sales. I once got ten calls in 2 days. I wish I'd checked Angie's List first and saw what a poor rating they already had. If you're reading this, you did check - go somewhere else.

They did improve our yard and we used them for a few years. In the last year we planted about 10 shrubs along our back fence and they treated them shortly after that. Most of them started turning brown so we tried calling for advice but could not get past the person answering the phone because the others were never available. The shrubs died before we did get hold of one of the other staff. I don't know why they died I was just disappointed in the lack of response we got when we did have a problem. My wife got laid off the next spring so we called to cancel service to get our costs down and they called back trying to get me to just lower the level of service which I explained again we needed to cut costs because of the layoff. Then they started to make me mad because they kept calling back over and over again to get us to sign back up. At first I took the calls and explained we did not want it at that time, but then I just started to hang up on them. They kept calling so I programmed a special silent ring tone on my phone so I would never answer but they kept calling. I finally sent a certified letter demanding they never call me again but they called again a couple days after receiving they letter so I submitted a complaint to the govt do not call list site. They have finally stopped calling. I probably would have used them again if they had not annoyed me so much with the phone calls.

My husband and I think they do a pretty average job on our lawn. They keep it pretty green and healthy. I think that their prices are a bit on the high side but my husband was able to negotiate a price with them costing us around $200 per year. I also like the fact that they put flags in our yard after they have been here so that we know to keep our dog off of it.

I WAS NOT IMPRESSED WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY LEFT A MESS IN MY FRONT YARD AND THERE WAS DIRT ALL OVER MY SIDEWALK. I THOUGHT THAT THIS WAS VERY CARELESS OF THEM. I CALLED THEM TO MAKE MY YARD LOOK NICE AND INSTEAD IT LOOKS WORSE THAN BEFORE.

ALTHOUGH THEY USUALLY DO FERTILIZING, WE HAD THEM COME FOR BUG CONTROL THEY ARE VERY PROMPT, AND THEY EVEN CALLED US BACK TO MAKE SURE WE WERE COMPLETELY SATISFIED. IT TOOK CARE OF THE BUG PROBLEM.

WE STOPPED USING THEM BECAUSE IT DIDN'T LOOK LIKE THE LAWN WAS GETTING ANY GREENER. I DID NOT LIKE IT AT ALL. THEY FERTILIZED THE LAWN AND DIDN'T DO ANYTHING.

THE WORK THAT THIS COMPANY PERFORMS IS VERY GOOD. I AM ALWAYS SATISFIED WITH WHAT IS DONE. THEIR STAFF IS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. THEY ALWAYS CLEAN UP WELL AFTER THEMSELVES.

THEY ARE OUT HERE ON TIME, AND ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL ABOUT THE WORK THEY DO. THEY ARE ALSO VERY FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS PEOPLE. I WILL KEEP THERE SERVICE, AND DO RECOMMEND IT TO OTHERS IN MY AREA.

THEY ALWAYS LET US KNOW WHEN IT IS TIME FOR THEM TO COME BACK OUT TO OUR HOUSE. THEY ARE NEVER LATE. WE HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH WEEDS SINCE WE BEGAN USING THEM.

THE SERVICE PROVIDED WAS TERRIBLE. THE COMPANY WAS SUPPOSE TO HAVE MY GRASS LOOKING DECENT AND THEY ENDED UP DESTROYING IT. THEY TURNED MY GRASS YELLOW, AND FOR THAT I WOULD NEVER HIRE THEM AGAIN.

THEY ARE VERY NICE PEOPLE. THEY DO A GREAT JOB AT MAKING SURE MY LAWN IS CARED FOR AND LOOKING GOOD. I HAVE BEEN USING THEM FOR SOME TIME AND PLAN TO KEEP USING THEM.
