PetSmart - Grand Blanc

There were about 4 other puppies in the class, so it was not overcrowded. The instructor, Liz, was fantastic. Each week, she taught
the lesson, used examples of its usefulness and had us practice with our dogs. She also took turns working with each dog to reinforce and improve on behaviors. She listened to many questions based on any behaviors or problems that the owners were having. She always had an answer and was very knowledgeable about training and dog behaviors and problems. There were times that answers to our questions involved purchasing a particular product from the store. It actually was helpful to me to have the suggestions and then be able to purchase the item after the class, if desired. Liz always remembered my dog's name, even
if I came into the store and saw her on another day rather than the class. She obviously loves dogs and loves training them (and their
owners, which I needed help with.)

I took 3 golden retrievers for grooming and have used them for some time without difficulty. During the last couple visits, one of my golden's was acting anxious, more and more with each visit. I was told he was a problem, he was hyper and would have to be done as a rush job and it would cost me $10 more. I've never had an issue at any other groomer, so I have my suspicions as to why he is all of a sudden like this. I won't take my dogs there anymore.

I've never owned a dog - and I've owned Rottweilers for 30 years - whose nails I couldn't trim myself, if needed. But Fiona acted like I was trying to saw off her feet, so eventually I decided to let someone else be the "bad guy." I should add here that this dog is a highly trained competitive sports dog and a certified, working therapy dog...not a snappy, untrained animal. She does not and has *never* attempted, or threatened, to bite anyone, ever.
I took her to the Grand Blanc PetsMart five or six times. On at least one occasion they muzzled and restrained her to trim her nails, and it was always quite the ordeal. I always apologised and tipped for having such a drama queen dog. Then I took her to another grooming salon, where her nails were done without muzzling, and without much drama or howling. I've been going there since because it's less stressful for her.
PetsMart is a fine store and I know that the grooming experience completely depends on many factors - groomer experience and rapport with the dog is just one.

They are good.

They trained my pet for about eight weeks. They are good.

They are clean and very nice.

I received excellent service here. I will take my dog here again for grooming.
