They came on time the same day to chlorinate the well as requested. However when it was time for them to come and test the water they did not show up. I called and scheduled another time and they did not show up again. Getting the water tested for bacteria was part of the charge that I paid for. After them not coming twice to get the water tested I took it upon myself to get the water tested and paid for the service. The test came back with bacteria still in the system. So I had to chlorinate it myself and retest it again in which it passed. It was very rude of them not to finish their job and to keep me waiting for no one to show up twice.

Things seem to go well at first. When they opened the well head they learned that the old well pump had rusted completely off and fallen into the well. They said it was OK to leave it down there but when the owner showed up, he started talking about fishing it out for another $100. That did not happen. So they installed the new pump which worked fine for maybe 20 minutes. But it kept tripping the circuit breaker inside the house. They could not figure out why and kept pulling the pump back out and fiddling with the wires. Then it stopped pumping water altogether.
Finally the owner came back and said it was a bad pump even though it was supposedly new right out of the box. By this time, I had left for work so I did not see them actually install the replacement which I assume was new and of equal or better quality to the first one. I can't remember the brand name. After they installed it, everything seemed fine except we were not getting water out of some faucets in the house - mainly the kitchen sink and one of our bathrooms. The toilet and shower were fine. That is when they told my husband that is is common for faucets to plug up after changing a well pump and that we needed to call a plumber. Mind you, these faucets worked fine before the pump was replaced. But they told my husband that sediment or something gets in the pipeline and plugs it up. They suggested taking off an aerator and cleaning it. I am not mechanical and did not know what that was.
To his credit, the owner responded by phone to our complaints for the next two days and offered to come back out. But I had already taken off a half day of work and my husband took off the whole day on the day the pump was fixed. So the earliest I could arrange another visit was the folliowing Wednesday when I took the day off work again. The owner said they would be here by early afternoon and would call before coming. When I had not heard from them by late afternoon, I called and got an answering machine. My husband and I called a few more times later in the day and never heard back from them. I consider that the height of unprofessionalism to miss an appointment and not even call. I ended up calling a plumber who knew what an aerator was and promptly unplugged it. As simple as it was to fix, seems like the well pump people could have done that as a courtesy instead of leaving with me no running water in the kitchen sink. My husband paid them but if I had still been at home, I would have refused to pay until they got my water running again. I had no way of being certaint if it was the aerator or some problem with the pump itself or water pressure. I dunno. I pay experts to figure this out for me.
Long story, short. I will NEVER use this company again and this experience also has made me skeptical about how trustworthy are recommendations from Angie's List. Sorry but that is just the truth. I have too much going on in my life to have to hassle with incompetent repair people requiring repeated time off my job to try to get problems fixed.
If I had to do it over again, I would wait for the highly recommended other well guy.

Spoke to Owner at his company's site at close of business. Described my problem to him, and that my home had no water. He had a crew out the next morning. They diagnosed my problem, explaining their course of action step by step, and proposed a solution. Unfortunately, my well pump had failed. They had brought a new pump with them, and installed it quickly and professionally. I am impressed. Thank you, C*** Well Drilling, for a job well done.

The water tank was surging every time the water was turned on. I called C*** and explained the problem. They arrived on time and tried to pump air into water tank which was water logged and needed replaced. They replaced the unit at that time. They were very helpful and courteous. I would defiantly call them again in the future.

Called C*** Well Drilling around 8 am. Company said they would be there around 9:30 or 10 am (Great!). C***'s arrived about 11:30 am. called and let us know. (That is the reason we gave them a B) Otherwise, once they were here, workers were efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly. Work was done quickly. Hope we don't need work on our well again but if we do, this is who we will call.

They worked over a period of about 2 or 3 days in the middle of winter. They did a great job and we had no difficulties of any kind. The also warrantied the well on both the surface and underground for 5 years. Other estimates we received warrantied above ground only and for only a year. They were very careful and courteous throughout the entire project. I was pleased with everything.
