Never showed up when he said he would. Never painted behind any of my toilets (3), laundry tub, washer and dryer. Had my entry coat room that was to be painted along with the other rooms. No other clothes closet or linen closet was to be painted. He never moved any furniture until I called him back to move them and paint behind them (washer, dryer, laundry tub, stove etc). Only did one coat of paint. I have a 2700 sq. ft house. So this was a big job. It took him 3 days to paint he entire house him self, with 2 coats. No way. He did bring his teen son with him one day. The trim work was terribly messy and paint on my shelves, oak trim and some spots on my ceiling. All of my tubs and showers and counter tops,all my cupboards had paint splatters all over and was never covered. First he said that he covered it that there was no way that could be. When I showed him, he told me that I should expect that, and that other home owners clean it off them selves. He was upset that I point these problems out to him cause he thinks that he is meticulous. I had very light colored walls prior and went to a Tawny color ( kinda Taupe color) could see the white along my trim where he missed. When I called him back to redo and take care of the situations he was very very upset. Painted behind the washer and dryer and then moved the washer back and the drain hose hit the wet paint and that is all scuffed up. He only removed the electrical covers but did not remove any towel bars or toilet paper holders, rob hooks etc. just painted around them. I had another painter come out to look at the situation after Tom Patterson came and so called fixed things up and he was surprised that Tom had done such a poor quality job that he himself called Tom Paterson to have him come and fix things and Tom refused to come and do any further fixups at all. He was offended that I had him come back to take the paint off the shelves and to fix the problem areas that he did. Oh ya, he never fixed all the areas either. He said he has never had any one call him to take care of any thing before. Only one coat of paint was throughout the entire house I have had 2 other painters look at the job since and they asked me if it was to be one or 2 coats of paint and how much paint he used and that he would have need more then 2 times the amount of paint to do the proper job for the area that was painted and that is why I can see all the white spots coming through cause it was not properly painted. No I would not recommend him to even my worse enemy. To this day I let everyone I know that is planning on getting painting done Not to use Patterson's. Me being a single woman I think that some times some of these men think they can get away with any ting. I am well known in my town and know a lot of people so yes the word gets around. I have even shown many of people the quality of his work. So I am sure that after seeing for them selves they are also letting others know Not to us Patteson's. I know he is trying to deny this however people have seen for them selves. I am sure that the other painters who seen the job will also let others know. You can make your own call. He talks a good talk but can not walk his talk at all.
