+ -1 moreNorth Pointe was able to find the inducer assembly, have it shipped overnight, and installed by noon the next day...just before really cold air arrived. Expensive part, so I expected the repair to be a bit costly. But North Pointe charged a very reasonable install fee, and total cost was less than I anticipated.
Description of Work: Inducer blower motor died on high efficiency furnace, right before a bit cold snap.

+ -1 more3 hours later a 2 man team showed up, said they had been pulled from another job to handle my problem. They problem was corrected quickly, professionally and with no nonsense that you sometimes see when you are paying an hourly rate. Though quite young, both technicians were very knowledgeable and quickly located and fixed the multiple problems. I would absolutely recommend North Pointe to anyone needing plumbing or heating professionals
Description of Work: Had an emergency with a seriously leaking kitchen sink. Calling North Pointe at 9:00 AM, I was informed that all available people were on jobs but they would have someone there as soon as they could. I was also told that it might be after business hours before they could respond.

+ 0 moreThe work was not completed the delay after delays from September 2013 to may 2014. The details are above. North point was told to stop all work. Inspection reports were hid from us. The delays were the results of not passing inspections,both electrical and mechanical. We found the not passing reports hidden in the upstairs closet. To my disappointment I was put in the position to complete the job on my own. Being 80 years old I was not prepared to complete the upgrade. Very disappointing i did complete the job and it passed both inspections. Our decision on going with North Point Plubing was with the Angies list recommendation which gave it an A. Very disappointing .
Description of Work: North point Plumbing was contracted to remodel upper bathroom in our cottage at Lakes Of The North. They said it would take two weeks to complete after all supplies were made available. Supplies were made available first week in September . Work started 4 weeks later in part. Conditions were that we would not be at the cottage once the supplies were available. Since September we were not able to use our cottage to address the North point wishes that they could have access to the cottage without interference. Here it is December of 2013 and some work had been done the water was shut off so that the work could be completed. For the winter we usually close the cottage because of weather conditions and travel distances. They kept on promising that work would be started the next day after we contacted them as to progress. We contacted them again and again and always they would start the next day. Here it is April and after the last promise of the next day we took a trip to the cottage and it was still unlivable with the water shut off and only 30% of the work completed most of it removing the drywall and flooring. We decided and informed Northpoint Plumbing to halt all work and that we were not satisfied with their progress. We felt we were used for their benefit because we were not permanently living at the cottage. They requested a 50% deposit which we paid. We felt that we could not rely on Northpoint Plumbing. Their promises were not kept and we are very disappointed in their services. We are retired and need the usage of the cottage,we do not have money to grow away,we feel they are not creditable with their promises. Plus the 30% work that they did some of it has to be redone.

+ 0 morePlumbing installation done well. A big improvement over the old cpvc. Tub/shower valve now functional and more easily repaired in the future if required. New furnace is functioning properly but has not been tested yet under winter cold conditions. Good communications with Butch and his helper throughout the project. Would use them again and recommend to others.

+ 0 moreHired originally as a sub contractor for renovation of home. Two partners in Co - Plumber (not bad) HVAC (bad. Cost $16K+++ When one of their plumbing lines leaked, HVAC came to repair, borrowed tools and ladder, then sent a bill. Same HVAC who didnt seal duct joints. Would not recommend company for any work.
Description of Work: Repair leaks from their orignal installation.

+ -1 moreMy home was left unexpectedly vacant for the winter. The water was turned off but the pipes were not winterized. Needless to say we returned to a disaster. No water damage but MANY broken pipes. Butch from North Pointe Plumbing and Heating came out the same day I called. He and his assistant Adam were courteous and professional. After examining my situation they told me they COULD repair the damage but as it was extensive it would be easier and much cheaper to simply re-plum the cottage. Also, a re-plumb would be guaranteed where as he obviously couldn't guarantee the old pipes. After considering my options I elected to have the pipes replaced. We settled on a reasonable price and the work was done in two days. He had my bath, including the hot water heater (which thank goodness was undamaged), up and running the first day and the rest of the house before noon the next day. I can't say enough good things about my experience with North Pointe Plumbing and Heating. They saved the day for me and I plan to use them to replace my heating system later this year. As long as I'm in the Gaylord MI area I won't use anyone else for the services they provide.
Description of Work: Total re-plumb of my house. New pipes (and fixtures where appropriate) installed. All old materials were removed.
