Carlson Floor Services

Doug came highly recommended to me from a friend.  I saw the work he had done on my friend's solid hardwood floors and it was excellent.  My wife and I were interested in having our badly scuffed 20-year-old floors refinished, so I called him and received a return call within the hour and had him in my home after work the same day (amazing response compared to what I've experienced from other home service providers).  He took a look at my floors and confirmed that he thought he could refinish them (about 1/8" to work with).  He gave me a quote and we planned the date for the work at the same time.
The timing worked quite well.  He agreed to come do the work while we were on vacation.  He and his team showed up on time as promised and completed a day early, giving plenty of time for the floors to dry before we got home.  He even sent photos of the work while we were on vacation.  Additionally, he texted me to find out when our trash service was to come so he could put the trash out for us so they didn't leave anything behind (even in the trash).
The bottom line, Carlson Floor Services made everything easy.  They are very trustworthy and do high quality work.

The work far exceeded my expectations. The floor had never been refinished but had a variety of floor coverings over its 80 year life. The exposed areas were completely awful: gummy, dirty, and worn through the finish in parts. Some of the rotted planks had been replaced by a carpenter and had no finish. The floor was finished right up to the edges of the quarterounds (base shoe). The stain was matched perfectly to the woodwork that I had refinished prior to this job. Once he arrived and we discussed the job, Mr. Carlson asked me to leave so that he could get down to his work and not be distracted by talking. At first I thought the price a little high but my satisfaction was also very high. The persons who referred me to Carlson Floor Services told me that I would not be disappointed and they were right on target!

Doug was no nonsense. He refinished the floors in our cottage and they look beautiful. There were rotted boards and gouges in the floor that needed to be repaired. He used a big machine in the center areas and also took the time to hand sand the edges so they were perfect too. He told me it was time for me to go, he didn't want any company so that he could focus and get the work done. It was higher than the going rate but the job was impeccable.
