GALESBURG PET GROOMING

I have an old chow shepherd mix. I had been taking her to a groomer across town for years, and when I called to make an appointment I was told that because of her (the dogs) behavior at the prior appointment that they could not take her back. The groomer would not or could not tell me what the behavior was. She only said that my dog (Burd) was too aggressive for their environment. I was stunned. Burd is a gentle old dog. I know she doesn't like to be messed with especially by puppies, but they would not say what had happened. So I did my home work on Angie's list and found Chris. I called her and explained my situation to her and asked if I could bring Burd out so that Chris could meet Burd and tell me if she would groom her for me. We went to Chris and Burd was her usual calm quiet self and Chris said that I could call and make an appointment. I just brought Burd home, Chris said that there was no trouble. Chris and I still don't understand what could have happened at the other groomers. Burd looks great, she seems very happy and content. Any one who knows about Chows knows about the amount of hair especially around the rump. Some how Chris got her all trimmed up and smelling wonderful. I am a customer of Galesburg Pet Grooming for the rest of my dog owning life. She obviously took extra care in cleaning up my dog. I will be recommending Chris to any one who asks.

I took our excessively shedding yellow lab for a grooming and we are very happy with the results. Not too much shedding since she came home and she still smells good 3 days later. Will definitely recommend and go back ourselves.

Galesburg Pet Grooming has very reasonable prices. Chris is friendly, easy to get a hold of and obviously loves animals. She's good with our dogs. She did a great job with our St. Bernard, he was beautiful after!
