Craig was polite, professional, and punctual. He did everything we asked him to do and explained all aspects of the work. We weren't able to get a perfect match with the part of the floor that we didn't get refinished, but we both suspect that it is a different kind of wood. In any event, it wasn't a match before either, so we are very happy with the result. The floors are beautiful.
Before sanding, Craig removed all the quarter round along the baseboard, numbered it, and reinstalled it all when finished. We had removed all the furniture, but not the TV. Even though the hepa filter on his sander does an excellent job, he took care to wrap the TV in plastic before beginning. Craig did an excellent job of cleaning up everything when the job was finished and even came back to refinish a section that I had wrecked by stepping on it before it was dried. He charged just the gas money to come to do that. When he was done, we had a bit of dusting to do, but nothing more than if we hadn't dusted for a month or so. Very nice.
My son and I have some rental properties and have had the hard wood floors refinished on them, so we have had some experience with the process. If we have another home in the future that needs this work, I will definitely give Craig a call. His work is excellent and his prices are very reasonable. An excellent experience overall.

Craig came out when I was in town at my newly purchased house and walked through with me. We talked about the type of finish (he had two and offered to send quotes for both) and color. We also talked about the staircase, and decided that it would be a separate job as the banister needs repair. He knows an expert for banisters, and offered to contact him for me as well. Since we wanted to have the work done before moving in, Craig said he would also look to see if any of his scheduled jobs could be shifted.
Craig sent me his estimate that night, including the news that he would be able to fit us in before our move. I thought his estimate was comparable to what I expected given the size of the job, and I really wanted his dustless system as we have highly textured walls. We scheduled the job for about 3 weeks out. A few days later Craig contacted me and let me know that another customer had asked to reschedule and he could come out even sooner. We met up with him to give him the key, and arranged for him to let in another contractor who we expected to do some work while he was there.
During the job Craig gave regular updates on the process, and if a contractor came to complete work. He was also kind enough to bring in our mail each day, since we were out of town. When he completed the job, we came back into town and he came by to pick up his payment and to go over floor care. He left us with a liter of the concentrated soap and explained how to use it.
The floors are beautiful, and the additional trim work he completed looks great. He has also connected us with the banister expert, so we look forward to the likelihood of working with him again.

He did an excellent job. Their price is very aggressive and about the same as everyone else. I would tell others to go with them.

Superior results which exceeded my expectations. There was literally no dust or mess during or after the job was completed. Having been under the mess of a whole house remodel for several months prior, Craig's use of the dust containment system was a huge selling point for us. The floor is beautiful. No sander marks apparent even along the stone hearth which has an irregular edge to contend with. He also managed to get us in ahead of schedule. Craig's friendly and professional manner coupled with the excellent appearance of our newly finished floors cause me to not hesitate in recommending his services. The cost was very reasonable. (Had another estimate that was significantly more and did not offer the dust containment option). Three days from start to finish. I've refinished wood floors myself before and can say I won't do it again as long as Craig is around!

not well - the job was well done but there was an area that needed new floorboards. We discussed using new boards but decided to us boards from a closet. Instead he used boards from a 1/2 half bath and the master bathroom. Now i have large holes in 2 bathrooms with nails sticking out of the floor. It is going to cost 4000 to replace with tile (which we were going todo sometime in the furure - like in 2 years but not anytime soon.)

The finished floor was perfect in every way and was exactly what we hoped for. Craig arrived when he said he would, worked efficiently and professionally with no delays or surprises and finished on time. The work was completely dust free. He is a master of his craft and has a very pleasing personality.

We wanted to upgrade a bedroom which had a many year old carpet. Craig removed the carpet and found a patchwork subfloor. He removed the mixture of old hardwood and particle board and installed a new, red oak hardwood floor. He stained it to be consistant with similar flooring in the hallway and another bedroom. The floor is absolutely beautiful. He did all the work while we were out of town. Upon our return, there was no sign of his being here other than the new floor. There was no dust anywhere. There are three closets in the room; all done perfectly. His price was very fair and an outstanding value. We would highly recommend Craig. I don't know how it could have gone better.
