We bought a home/cottage for us to come to on the weekends, that needed some drywall repair, finishing and laying. Rick quoted us $750 for the whole job and said it would only take a few weeks. This individual would show up, work for a few hours then leave with some excuse. He worked on the same room for three weeks and never finished it. Never once did he pick up after himself. Just two weeks ago, I came into the kitchen and there was drywall dust everywhere, including drywall pieces. It was aparant they he cut the dryall in the kitchen. He also used my husband's tools without asking. Two days before we fired him, my parents stopped at our cottage. Rick told them he needed more supplies but didn't have the money. My parents went and got him another $75 for supplies to finish the job. On Friday when my husband got to the cottage, nothing additional had been completed and no additional supplies were at the house. That was when we fired him. The job is still approximatley 1/2 complete.
