I have contacted him and sent pictures of the problems with the patio, and he will not respond. I received a text that he was mad at me as I have a dispute with a plumber he recommended that did not finish a job correctly. So Bill, is refusing to fix his mistakes because of this.
I contacted his girlfriend to apologize for any problems this may have inadvertently caused with my plumbing problem, and have contracted the plumber again to resolve.
I cannot get Bill to respond, but wanted to let everyone know that he does good work, but apparently lets his emotions dictate what his guarantee is to problems with his work,.
I have had another contractor out to view the flaking of color, and he thinks it was too cool when this concrete was poured and painted. It is going to cost me $600 to have another person fix Bill's mistakes.
I am sorry to have to write this, as I was beginning to think of Bill as a friend, as we corresponded regularly through the Presidential campaign. I am sad it has come to this, and if Bill stands behind his work, as his girlfriend and he have said ( on my texts) I will remove this and again recommend him. But not now. This is unprofessional.
"For the record every single time [member name removed] has contacted me I either answered or contacted her back within 24-48hrs whether it was just to chit chat or about another project. The [member name removed] for the record are not paid in full. I've tried to recoup the money but couldn't to much hassle. Was just gonna let it go because they had more work. Sent our plumber Bareman plumbing over there in April of 2012 we have worked with Tim Bareman for 20years as my wife is a custom home builder. [member name removed] neglected to pay Tim which really upset me. Had more contact with [member name removed] in June of 2013 and asked her to figure something out with the plumber and when she does contact me and I will be over. I have not heard from either of them since then. I am going to contact the plumber tomorrow. As for the slab. There are 2 coats if sealer on the slab. If there wasn't they would have complained before I left in April2012. The first coat of sealer soaks in and is blotchy and the second evens it out. In fact I think I had to put 3 coats on it to even out. The issue with the slab is when I was there in may of 2012 to try to get paid there was lawn fertilizer on the concrete from the lawn guys. Putting fertilizer on concrete is like throwing salt on concrete. I give everyone a how to care for your concrete at the end of the job. I guess they never read it. I have no problem coloring and resealing there patio for a fee after they pay the plumber. I feel I am responsible for the plumbers wages because I told him to help the [member name removed] out. I've been jerked around by the [member name removed] for over a year now telling me to price this do this do that. Heck I even sent a couple college kids to put his dock in and he didn't even pay the poor kids I had to. He has 120' dock to put in and it's aluminum kids never did it before I told [member name removed] that. He said to send them anyways he couldn't find anyone to put it in probably because the guy doesn't want to work with him again. Basically they would have worked for about $3.50 an hour. I will reseal and color like I said for a fee. I have contacted them every time they contacted me. It's [member name removed] that are not living up to what needs to be done. [member name removed] are reaching and looking for a way to get out of this situation with out paying. I think the contractors should have a Angieslist for customers that are bad and don't pay. I think [member name removed][member name removed] is a very professional and knowledgable woman. We were and still are friends. They just have to pay the plumber that's all I'm asking. There slab is fine and its in good shape I looked at it when they weren't there. I hope the [member name removed]do not let anyone touch my project. Best, Bill Eves"
He also sent his uncle over to help us out w/ a new porch/stairs, and Frank and his guy worked for two days in killer heat to get it done. All in all, we couldn't be happier w their service.
I would highly recommend Bedrock to anyone looking to have any type of concrete work completed.
My experience with Bill and the men who work with him was wonderful. They made the process so easy as they worked so hard and concisely. I was amazed how quickly it took shape. He was here on time .... no messes.... and what I like most is he really listened to me on where I wanted it and how I wanted it angled. So women out there making this kind of decision ... give Bill a call. He will not disappoint you. Such a wonderful person.
Wow... where do I begin ,,,I called Bill for an estimate -- he came out that very night ... but I had told him that my husband wanted to go with asphalt - as we THOUGHT asphalt would be less expensive--- NOT SO !
Long story - short -- Bill's concrete estimate was the same as the asphalt -- until we started adding color and texture to our driveway -- but even then, his pricing was very reasonable for the "art" he was creating. Bill went above and beyond what was expected -- we ran into some old buried septic tanks -- he removed them. He graded our front yard as it was very steep and we have ended up with our DREAM DRIVEWAY !!!! Bill Eves KNOWS CONCRETE ! he is 3rd generation in the concrete business -- you will get QUALITY and FAIR PRICING !!!When we looked at Bill's website, it didn't appear that someone who would do this kind of work would be interested in driving to the Greater Grand Rapids area and then doing a small patio job.
However, we found that Bill was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted someone who had years of experience, took exceptional pride in their work and yet wanted to keep their company small so that they can still do excellent work at a reasonable price. We didn't want the most expensive guy or the cheapest guy on the block. We wanted excellent value and we wanted the work done right the first time. That's exactly what we got with Bill. He was prompt, his crew was very polite and they completed our job in a very timely fashion. Most importantly, the job was done perfectly. We can't say enough about how amazing our new patio looks. All the neighbors are jealous!
If you are located anywhere near the greater GR area, I would highly recommend that you contact Bill. You will find him to be excellent with decorative concrete, very honest, easy to work with and his pricing very reasonable.
Do allow Bill to use his experience to assist you in deciding how to configure the decorative aspect(s) of concrete.
