When Mark pulled the carpeting up on the steps he ran into a problem. The stairs at some point (an old house) had been replaced with pine and someone had painted the bare wood. Mark didn't really want to do the stairs in that condition. He said he would if I wanted him to. The steps would have to be done by hand and would not look that great because there would be no way he could get all that paint up. I appreciated his honesty. He was very professional and did an excellent job. My floors are beautiful. I chose Mark because he lives in the same town I do and I could tell after talking to other contractors that he knew what he was doing, I would definitely recommend Mark to anyone looking to refinish their hardwood floors.st
