PULLEN HOME IMPROVEMENT

We called Terry in February, 2012.  After talking with him, we decided he was worth waiting for, as he had a previous commitment ( which happened to be a relative out of state).  So with $1380 of our money he left and did not return until April 24, 2012 at which time we paid him another $540 to start.  He maybe worked 4 t0 6 hours max during the time he was here...and certainly not everyday.  On May 9th we paid him another $500.  Terry made a porch railing for me, and applied Z brick to my front moon shaped steps....all of which is coming apart and the railing is wood, separating and peeling.  This was another $500.  I have not called him back...as I had him back to give me a price on another small job, he set up a time...and when I called him, he said he forgot.  I did not have him do the job.  There is also some screws coming through the veneer on the side of my lower cupboards...I showed Terry this...he said he would fix it...I have not to this date of July 29, 2013 heard from him. We paid Terry his final check of  $933 on August 27, 2012.   Terry appears to be a self made carpenter..he is probably good at furniture and woodworking.  I am totally disappointed in in some of his work and some of the small mistakes I have discovered.  Am I fussy?  Yes.  I told Terry this initially.....and he assured me he could meet my expectations.  I think we paid a premium price for less than a quality job.
The water heater was an emergency item and Terry installed it...he did an excellent job on that (this was a separate item) not included in the price above..
Terry is a great conversationalist, likeable and a  pleasant  personality.  Thoroughly trustworthy.
