They were a little pricey but I needed the help with it. THey got out here real quick but when they left they failed to turn on the valve and also failed to tell me where the valve was to turn it on to get it to work.  For three or four days we were just getting little teeny tiny squirts of water and nothing else. I had to call them back out, they offer a warranty. They came and fixed it obviously very quickly. They can improve by turning the valve on.

The man who unclogged my drains charged us FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY-FOUR DOLLARS!!! to use a two-hundred dollar tool for 10 minutes.
What?  The?  H***?!?
It was like putting my money right into the shredder and watching it get ripped apart.
These people abused my naive wifes naturally kind and trusting nature to take us for FAR too much money.

My basement flooded and I called Gregger's  plumbing (recommended by Angies). My basement was a mess, smelled like h***, around 6 "of dirty water. They snaked the sewer  for $ 400.00 on a Sunday..They did a great job but did not gave me  warranty. They advice me to snake the sewer every year. Five months later my basement flooded again. I call Gregger and they snaked the sewer again, another $295.00 and advice me to call a company with a snake with camera because they could not do more and it was going to flood again.
So I called Mr Rooter. The snake/camera got into the sewer and they showed me  in a small  TV all the roots in different spots..They gave me two choices : To dig up the front yard and to install a new sewer @ $3,490.00 (10 years warranty) or to clean it with the Hydrojet (5 years warranty) $1320.00 and he explained  to me how it works.
I choose the second one but I have to wait until a warmer day so the  water did  not freeze up inside of the sewer (this was on January) They came 10 days later and they did a great job ,very professional and left the area clean. I will call them again.
Both companies did a great job professionally but the costumer service from Mr. Rooter was unbelievable! Very patient to explain, very warm and really nice. Sorry, that make a difference for me.

Since I used them in November 2012, their Yellow Page advertisements have been pulled.  It was a really, really bad experience.  They had all the same promises as another company I was looking at, but when I got into trouble with what they had done to my sewer line, they arrived here demanding money before they would even inspect the problem.  I expected them to be reputable but they now have an "F" rating with the BBB.
They originally told me I would be paying a little bit more but would be totally satisfied with the job. They claimed that the work would have a 10-year warranty, so when my sewer line began backing up again about a week ago on 4/2/2014, I contacted them.  One of the techs they sent out demanded $800+ from me before even inspecting the work and kept telling me that my warranties were not any good.  It took a lot of back-and-forth on the phone from 8am-3pm with the regional and national office in Waco, TX  to get somebody out here to inspect and take care of the problem but they did not take care of all matters and I am now in a dispute with them.

I am only making this report to warn potential customers that this company might not give them the service they expect.

I did finally resolve my issues with Mr. Rooter, and I would like to be able to say that it was an easy thing to do.  However, getting my issues straight took over a week, and even though I am satisfied with the results, I am completely exhausted.  I would like to be hopeful that if there are any future issues, that I will be treated better by their customer service.

It was absolutely terrible. He stated a female hygene item backed up the sewer, I'm over 50 years old, I haven't used one of those in a long time. He wanted to charge $500 to inspect the sewer, not the $99 that they advertise on tv for the inspection. I told him to leave my home.

We have been using Mr. Rooter for years to keep the sewer line free of tree roots and we haven?t ever had any problems. Unfortunately this year I was not so lucky. The first time they showed up at 10:00 am for a noon-4:00 PM appointment and I really wasn?t ready for them.  But I went outside with him anyway to show him where the cleanout is. Then he tried to talk me into an $800 to $1,000 ?Jet Cleaning? which I declined since it was just for a preventative annual cleanout. Then he refused to snake out the sewer line because it was sprinkling?. Seriously ? it was just sprinkling?. He said he doesn?t like to work outside with electrical equipment in the rain. He said he would send someone back out ?in a few days when it wasn?t raining?.
I never heard back from anyone so two weeks later I called back and scheduled another appointment. They had been running TV commercials for $99 cleanout with a free camera inspection.  Plus, I had a coupon that had come in the mail for ?$99 Drain cleaning (certain restrictions apply)?. This time they got to my house a little after 1 PM for an 8 am to noon appointment.  They had called about 11 to let me know they would be running late. Then the man tells me ?the $99 is just for the cleaning ? there is also a $49 service charge?. I showed him the coupon which doesn?t say anything about a service charge. We also talked about the TV commercial and he said even that was misleading because it pictures a basement drain being cleaned out and basements fall into the ?certain restrictions? area and there is a significant extra charge for basements.
In the end he did end up snaking the drain and doing a brief camera inspection of a short section of the sewer line.  He did accept $99 as full payment but it was a struggle.  He said he was going to accept the $99 because we were returning customers who have used them several times in the past and ?he wasn?t going to lose a good customer over $49?.

drain cleaning fine.  Offered to 'scope' main sewer lines for root infiltration.  HARD sell with scare tactics.  When said that we would get other estimates, price kept coming down.  Did not like the attitude and went elsewhere (AngiesLIst high rating) with great results and HALF the price.  Will NOT repeat business with this provider.

They advertised a price of $99 for a single drain on main floor of home. Over the phone, service representative Abby told me it would cost around $150 with service call. They arrived promptly but technician gave all kinds of nonsense reasons why this wasn't the cost. He claimed he wasn't aware of advertised special and that he had to walk up a few steps into home. Based on entry steps to home, he claimed it was not the main floor. I only have two floors and the lower level is a finished basement. I had work done and figured I would call to sort it out later as my 5 year old son was misbehaving and I had to get him off to an appt. so didn't have time to argue with technician. I was charged more than double advertised special and what was quoted on phone. Multiple calls to this office went unanswered. Supervisor is John Clark. I left at least three messages for him over the course of a week but never received a call back. Representatives are clearly trying to cover for this most unprofessional supervisor. Do not use this company. They are dishonest and do not even offer the courtesy of returning calls.

The workman was very fast and had no issues with the problem. My only true complaint was that I felt like they had me at a weak moment when I needed immediate help. I thought that what they did and the materials that they had to use were extremely over priced. The whole job took less than an hour. $300.00 was a lot of money.

We called them when my wife accidently flushed a wash rag down the toilet which clogged the drain line. They came out to clear the line, but would not run a camera down the line to check it out. They powerflushed the line and pronounced it clear to the street. They told me that if that didn't do it, the next step would be to break up the concrete basement floor! The next day the drains backed up again! I then called Trevarrow Plumbing who snaked a camera into the line which clearly showed the wash rag still stuck!  They sent in a device which grabbed the rag, and cleared the line.  Mr. Rooter refused to refund any monies paid!  Never again!

The plumber came on time. He quickly assessed the needs used a motorized snake. He had to replace the overflow pipe and get it ready to use a snake.
Using the snake that was about 100 ft long he cleared the blockage in the line going from the pump to the city sewer and cleared. This fixed the problem and he also fixed an additional pipe in the event i had to clean the line again.
I was very satisfied by the job!

Our kitchen drain (double sink) clogged up on Thanksgiving Day morning and 20+ people were coming over in about 2 hours. These guys were not only working, they were on site in an hour. Forrest got to work and got the drain flowing before most of our guests arrived. Unfortunately, a couple hours later the clog returned. Forrest had warned me that sometimes with a soft clog (we had put a bunch of potato peels thru the garbage disposal) the clog could re-form but that their work had a return warranty if that happened. Sure enough, he came back this morning and re-snaked it a few more times and currently the drains are flowing freely. No charge for the return call. In my opinion the true test of a service company is how they act when things don't go perfectly. Forrest also gave me  a lot of information about using the garbage disposal and keeping the plumbing functioning. I will definitely be using these guys again for any future plumbing projects. Thanks to Mr. Rooter and  Forrest for the great service.

Their repair made did not hold, as I had a leak again within 3 months. They didn't answer the phones and did not apologize. They are very expensive and very bad. I was told I paid (3) times the cost I should have.

They dug our yard and went down 5 feet.  They told me it would take 4 to 4.5 hours to do and they were done in 2.5 hours.  Since they have dug up my yard, I have tree roots coming up from the ground.  I have called them 10 different times to come back to cover the roots and they keep telling me that when the next tech is free they will send him over.  A guy did come out and took pictures of the problem, and he told me that someone will come by on Tuesday or Wednesday and they still  never showed.  They even called me today, 4/11/12, and said that the next tech would be over and he still didn't show.  I didn't even call them today, they called me and still no show.

Brought them in on Friday because of a suspected broken pipe on our crawl space.  They worked well with the other company that was there to remove the water that had accumulated because of the broken pipe (Flood Solutions).  Completed an estimate of cost of pipe replacement and labor.  Stuck to that.  Arrived on time and completed work earlier than estimated.  Did not make a big mess and cleaned up when they were finished.  Very pleased with work performed and will use them again for both pipe replacement and smaller plumbing jobs.

They seemed non-reliable and dishonest.  They price was ridiculous and charged me $300 to just replace a small part.  I didn’t feel it was necessary to spend so much for a leak.  He then tried to urge me to do some more work saying I needed to have the plumbing done under the sink and have those replaced.  He was urging me to spend a lot of money.  It was expensive and I didn’t trust his approach.  His workmanship was good and he solved the issue.  I will not use them again in the future.

When I see Mr. Rooter commercials on TV now with the man winking at you, it has a whole new meaning to me now.

To ease my concerns on September 19th, I called for a second opinion from the list of plumbers on Angie's List: I called Mango Plumbing.  They gave me a price on the phone to view lines, $189.00.  They came in the time frame they said.  Mike said my lines were in pretty good shape.  He showed me where the old line connected to a previous repair I had done several years ago.  He said he couldn't guarantee that I wouldn't have problems in the future, but he found no signs that my drains were disintegrating.

Mike said people don't realize they have a right to ask a plumber to leave.  Just pay the service charge and ask him to leave.

Even though I purchased a five year membership plan with Mr. Rooter, I will never do business with them again.
