The work itself went well at the time the roof was installed. We were pleased with the quality of the work and the clean up after. The problem came when I contacted them in Jan/Feb 2015 for a leak that had developed. I explained that my husband that is 64 should not get on the roof any longer to see where the problem is, they said that would contact us for an inspection when the weather cleared, it had been very cold and icy.
They never did respond or call to come and inspect the roof. My husband has now been up on the roof twice, and can not find were the leak was coming from, however it has stopped. It may have been ice built up under a ledge, but how do we know?  Don't know if it will start up again this winter, with the ice and snow, but I am very disappointed that no one got back with us. I guess once they get your money, the service stops. You are no longer a priority if you need repairs, or followup service.
Would not recommend this company for this reason.

Every person we had contact with was pleasant, professional, and on time. We were told it should be a one day job, weather cooperating, and with the nature of the work, there was no firm date set.
Small negative--The shingles arrived on a Friday without any prior notice, which could have been a problem if the job was scheduled for that Monday, as a signature was needed, and  permission for the heavy delivery truck to use our cement driveway (no damage occurred). I was at jury duty and my husband had almost headed off on errands.
The crew arrived promptly on the 11th, draped the tarps, and got to work, finishing clean up by 6. My husband had worked as a roofer when younger and had put on that second layer of shingles over 35 years ago, himself -- so is knowledgeable. They kept him updated during the day and he is quite satisfied with the job they did. They put Fire and Ice shield four and a half feet up from the eave edge as we have deeper eaves. Clean-up was reasonably well done (I would have preferred fewer holes in the tarps to begin with), and after their raking and magnet rolling was done, I didn't find too much stray stuff to pick up and no damage was done to plants.
Visually, it is a very clean, precise job and we've had some good rainstorms since and no leaks.
Husband says, "I would highly recommend this company to future customers."

Work went ok, but have had leaking since

Lockhart was very prompt and thorough in their inspection. Their detailed report, complete with photos, helped us negotiate a lower sale price on the home, although ultimately we did not buy the home for reasons other than the roof. Had we purchased the home, we would have hired Lockhart to put on a new roof.

Snow was removed and salt put on the roof to help melt the ice. Our house is one story in the front and 3 stories in the back. It took about a week for the salt to melt enough of the ice to stop the leaking into the house. Our ice was very thick in the front; less in the back. Job was done quickly as they had 3 guys on the roof; the only downside was they buried my dryer vent under 4 feet of snow. I had to get my son-in-law to dig it out.
The price was a little high compared to another company I had contacted, but Lockhart was able to come out the soonest so I used them. So far I am not disappointed that I did. They will be doing additional work for me (gutters, roofing, and potentially siding) and I will do a review on each of those also.

They got the snow off the roof. However the three young men who did the job, carelessly buried my garbage bins. I am a 73 year old woman and I have a hard time shoveling snow, I tried and couldn't uncover the garbage bins. But the owner came out himself and shoveled the snow off the garbage bins. This is one business that really cares for the customer and the business's reputation. I would recommend them and use them again because I have every confidence that owner/manager will see that the job is done right. Five stars to the business owner/manger.

With the substantial costs involved, trying to find the best company and product-getting an new roof can be stressful. We went through a number of roofing companies; small and large. Some had high pressure sales presentations. Some came off a bit shady. When we were getting a bit stressed over it all, we finally got around to calling Lockhart Roofing. We are so glad we did! From the beginning sales contact, the installation and the after the work follow up-this company performed in a considerate, honest and professional manner. The people here are terrific to work with all the way through the process. We found that they truly conduct their business as a family owned company that strives to make the customer feel at ease. They provided by far the best price and financing; as well as an excellent product. The installation was performed expertly and on time! The crew was courteous, professional; and really worked hard to provide us with a really great, solid new roof.
We want to give a special mention to the crew chief, Eric. He was absolutely terrific and it was obvious he has a top crew as well. He kept us informed, provided timely information and followed up after the installation. This man not only knows his profession inside and out, but really does want his work to be of the highest quality. In the world of today, that's impressive.
To summarize it simply, we very strongly recommend Lockhart Roofing. We feel you can select them with confidence.

I would have submitted this review literally years earlier but have just now joined Angie's list. Several years ago, we contracted Lockhart for a complete re-roofing job on our ranch style home. At the time, I was pleased with their work from what I recall. No incidents. In appx 2011, we developed ice dams in our gutters. Not being experienced in this area and having used them before, we called Lockhart to have them removed. They quoted us a fee of $200.00 and came out the next day. The crew was here for literally less than 15 minutes and all they did was shovel snow from the roof. I did not pay the fee and Mr Lockhart himself called me asking why. I told him I was not paying $200.00 to just have a couple guys shovel snow from the roof and that the service was for removal of ice dams. Mr Lockhart told me he could charge whatever he wanted and that ice dam removal was a very labor intensive job and and quot;impossibleand quot; to do in just a few minutes. I asked him why he quoted me $200.00 when he knew that's what I wanted done, not snow removal, which we could do ourselves. After several minutes of arguing, I agreed to pay for only the snow removal, which was still $100.00. We ended up removing the ice dams ourselves after doing some online research, and he was right about one thing: It WAS a very labor intensive job.
Shortly afterwards, we noticed damp patches and mold in the corners of 2 front bedrooms. After investigation and having several contractors look at the cause, it was discovered that Lockhart had not roofed the structure properly in the first place and had not had enough ventilation installed in the soffets/roof, which more than likely contributed to the ice dams as well as causing the dampness and mold. I will admit we did not have enough insulation in the attic, but when Lockhart had orginally re-roofed the house, we specifically asked about that and were told and quot;you should be fineand quot;.

The estimator was prompt and courteous. His estimate was accurate. The guy that did the work did a nice job on time. If the quality of their work for other types of jobs are as good as this one, they would be a good choice.

I used them for roofing, but I think they also do windows. They were courteous, on time, cleaned up after themselves, and did a good job. They worked with the weather as much as they could. They were all very nice and helpful. They were careful to protect all of my plants, because we had a complete tear down. Then they cleaned up very well after themselves. They were not the cheapest estimate that I got, but they were not the most expensive.

They did an outstanding job at a reasonable price. They were very easy to deal with.

I highly recommend their service.

There was a bad storm that blew off multiple sections of our roof. It was about 7:00 p.m. when we noticed and got out phone book to find help right away. Lockhart Roofing was the first company we called and we got a very helpful lady that took down all of our information and said she would have an estimator call us back as soon as possible. Within 15 minutes we got a call back from their estimator and he set up an appointment for the following morning. They came out the following morning and accessed the damage to the roof and gave us a written estimate right on the spot. We contacted our insurance company and they gave us the ok to have Lockhart put a tarp up to protect the interior of the house. My husband called them back and they had a couple guys come out that evening and put up two large tarps. After about a week the insurance company agreed to pay for the damages. We called Mike back at their office and he got everything set up to get our new roof installed. Two days later they delivered all the roofing to our house, and the following day they had the roof completed despite the cold weather. Randy and the guys were great and I will continue to recommend this company for anyone in need of a roof.

Old shingles were removed, new shingles installed. Box vents were also installed, the whole house was included.

They did quite poor workmanship. They had to tear the whole base of the roof and resheet it. When they did, they left big gaping holes along the edge of the roof that literally rodents or anything could go through and they just left them and roofed over that without making sure it was nailed down properly ahead of time. They also placed insulation baffles underneath the roofing which are supposed to prevent the insulation from closing off air passage between the roof. They just stapled and left them hanging into the attic area. I took pictures of the attic and I could see big gaping holes letting light into the attic so I called them and they said that they were going to do the flashing along the chimney in a certain manner and they didn't do as they promised. They even used white flashing on my black roof and I wasn't pleased at all with what they were doing. They were to replace my gutter and they just cut the new drip edging along the roof around my old gutter. They even damaged a portion of my gutter and replaced it. They were argumentative to my complaints and gave a slow response.

They provided excellent service. They were good. They did the job quickly and in a timely fashion. I was happy with their service. Their price was reasonable.

The roofing job was great. We weren't even home. It was done in a day with a great warranty. The job was well cleaned up. We were totally satisfied. Totally different story with our siding ....Different crew, never came when they said they would, took forever (about 3 months). Poor response whenever we called the office. The siding itself looks great but very poor service.

It went okay. The job was finished and it works.

The results of the work, has been okay so far and there has been no leaks. I will use them again in the future.

Lockhart's crew did an outstanding job. They were delays because of a heat wave but overall did the job within a reasonable time. The price was fair. Quality of work was great. The crew was friendly with our homeowners and tried to accommodate them. Re-roofing is a very intrusive activity. Flowers are destroyed and there is a lot of noise. The crew did their best to minimize these issues. I had a professional roofer inspect the work after it was done and he reported Lockhart did an excellent job. I highly recommend this company.
