The owner/operator had several problems: injured finger, helpers not showing up, his probable decision to go to nursing school. He never finished the job and had not responded to phone calls.
His deck work is nice, the railing is probably not his fault (the material warped). The siding could have been done much better. I'm not certain how much siding experience he had when he did my work. Probably not much. I think he overestimated his ability to actually do the job. I'd seen photos of his deck work and it seemed very good.
