Wonderful! We are so happy with the results and have gotten so many compliments from our neighbors. Our new bathroom is my new favorite room in the house!

Jen did my kitchen earlier this year and I love it! She was great to work with. She stuck to the timeline and budget and communicated with me throughout. I was impressed with her and her crew, they were all pleasant to have in my home and cleaned up each day. 10/10 would recommend!

The project went well. Jen and her crew were respectful and Jen listened to our needs. Jen came by and inspected at each stage of the process to make sure things were correct. We would use her again.

One of the best decisions I've ever made was hiring Jen for our remodel. She is skilled, knowledgeable, organized, clear, helpful, responsive, extremely detail-oriented, responsible and just an all-around cool person and GREAT contractor (I could go on). We hired her to complete a major remodel before moving into our home and while we were living out of state, and it couldn't have gone more smoothly (we opened up walls, closed up a doorway, full gut of the kitchen...) I had heard all the stories about how stressful remodels are, how much longer they take than you think and how much more they can cost than you plan for, contractor mistakes, etc. That was the total opposite of our experience with Jen. We had wanted to complete most of the work before moving in, and so were on a bit of a tight schedule and she was open to working with us on it and really delivered. She created a plan and schedule, was open to our asks, helped us make decisions on cabinets, countertops, etc. (she even took me to tile and countertop places -- which was great given she has a design background, too), offered ideas, asked questions, etc, but was never pushy. She then stuck to her schedule and was done even a few days before our move-in day. Even living far away, I was never concerned that the work wasn't being done or being done properly because she had created such a great plan from the start and always was trustworthy. And I still can't believe the quality of the work she completed, down to the slightest details. Can't wait to hire her again for our bathrooms down the road.

We hired Jen to redo our 1927 Tudor home which included a first floor remodel (kitchen, living room, half bath) and a full bath second floor remodel. She was very upfront with us on costs and the work that needed to be done while offering suggestions as needed. We wanted the home to flow and keep its historic charm. Jen and her team went above and beyond to make sure that happened. Our home had original doors that we were able to reuse and floors and trim and we were able to keep or match. She and her team were very considerate and polite while in our home. We will definitely be using her again as we complete future projects.

Jen is a joy to work with as well as an incredibly talented professional. With almost 20 years of experience being in business for herself, she has the process down to a science but at the same time treats you and your concerns and your project like it’s completely unique and understands that for you, this is probably all brand new. With all that experience, she also has amassed a competent team of subcontractors who are reliable and top-notch. She seems not only to know everyone in the industry, but is highly respected by them as well. One thing I found most helpful was that she was willing to talk with me and work with me on design issues and questions I had. Maybe this. What about this. Maybe that. She was a wonderful resource in that regard. On the one hand, she is there to do what you want done and make the space right for you, but on the other hand, she’ll gently push you toward or away from something she thinks—based on her vast experience—you’ll be happier with or will work better. For example, I wanted an all-wood countertop in my kitchen. She gave me some pros and cons and showed me all my options on an afternoon shopping trip and then got to work figuring out the best way to do a wooden countertop. After her own research and talking to a few people in the industry who work with wood, she came back to me and told me her reservations and why she didn’t think it’d make the best choice. So I looked into other options again. I ended up choosing quartzite for the main counters, but she made me a custom wooden top for the island. It was a perfect solution. I couldn’t be happier with my quartzite countertops and I love my wooden island top. She said the project would take 6 weeks and it took 6 weeks. BUT she doesn’t cut corners on anything. She is detail oriented and will make sure even the smallest aspects of the job are done right. She also is excellent at communication. She responded to every email or text or call I sent within 24 hours, often much sooner. She also stopped the subcontractors from swearing when my daughter was in the house, took her shoes off every time she came in, made sure my dogs didn’t get out of the backyard, AND dealt with my mother. Seriously. Jen is the best. I sorta want to remodel every room in my house now, even though we can’t afford it, just so I can have her back. She’s warm, funny, intelligent, humble, kind, and respectful. I felt completely comfortable having her in my small home any time of the day or night. And she never once made me feel stupid for not knowing anything about anything related to home construction or kitchen remodel. I am beyond happy with the finished product. (We had a wall torn down separating a kitchen and dining room in an old 1925 home in Ferndale and created one big space, replacing everything.) It’s better than I could have imagined and I feel confident saying that I wouldn’t be nearly this happy if someone else had done it for me. Thank you, Jen. Worth every penny.

Jen Czach is the absolute best contractor we have ever had the pleasure of working with. We originally hired her to tear out and remodel our main bathroom in our 1950's brick ranch. That project was completed in April of 2018 and was completed in 7 weeks (exactly on time). Jen is very "hands on", and when she wasn't actually doing a particular part of the job (i.e electrical, plumbing, etc.) she was always here to get her trades people started, and came by after they were finished to check their work. She pays such close attention to every detail, and has treated our projects as though she were working on her own home. Our kitchen remodel involved removing a load-bearing wall to open up the space - not a small job! When Jen told us the project would be completed in 6 to 7 weeks, we thought her timeline was a bit ambitious, but we were so wrong. The project will be done this week.... exactly 6 weeks from the date of demolition. One of the many things we admire about Jen is that she takes the time to prepare for the projects she's hired to do. She has a schedule, and sets up her trades before she starts the project, so that she can complete the job on time. This was hugely important to us. She also has excellent taste, and has been really helpful to us when it came to choosing colors, materials, etc. She listened to our preferences, and developed a real feel for our taste (which isn't easy because my husband and I have very different tastes in decor!). Hire Jen Czach Construction - you won't be disappointed!! I posted a couple of before and after photos of the bathroom remodel. I will try and come back to post some finished kitchen photos.

Jen came in on time and on budget. She was also quick to respond to all questions. She came up with a new ideas that I hadn’t considered and I loved them. She made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. I trust her 100%. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone who is ready to improve their home. Jen’s the BEST!

Excellent, Jen and her employees do fantastic work. She answers calls and emails very promptly, usually within the hour.

Tons of time spent on planning (Jen was super patient with my pickiness and has a great eye), great communication, the bulk of the work was totally on-time, efficient scheduling, great sub-contractors and good quality overall work. Any larger issues were addressed with either replacement or made right in other ways to the customer's satisfaction. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jen and her team for anything.

We could not be more pleased with the finished project! We interviewed several contractors, all of whom were listed on Angie's List. Jen conveyed a certain honesty to us and a comfort with what she could and could not do. She was always very professional. She followed through on all the commitments made and the timeline involved. She always made us aware of what would be happening and when it would occur. She made many helpful suggestions regarding the design of the project, improving on ideas that we had in mind. She participated in several areas of the construction. Overall, she was most pleasant to work with!! We would not hesitate to highly recommend Jen to anyone, and have already done so!

Jen works with very experienced subcontractors. I was a painting contractor for about 11 years and I've worked with many contractors over the years. I have to say her framer was especially experienced and very detail oriented. Her drywallers did a very good job (this job required a lot of non-right angles and the finished product looked great). The electrician was sloppy in terms of cleaning up after himself (but Jen was great about it). The tile work was great. Overall the project came in on budget and only about a week over the original timeline that she gave us (this wasn't a problem for us). She always answered e-mails immediately. The finished product looks great. She's a good person to work with. There were a few things that were done that I wasn't a fan of, but I'm honestly pretty picky and I notice every detail. I gave her a B in quality but this is more like an A-.

Jen and her team were really amazing. Not only was her price less than many of her competitors, the quality of the work was just outstanding. It's been about six months, and I'm still throughly impressed. You should definitely consider Jen Czach Construction for your next remodel. 

Even though we planned very carefully, we still went over budget because we left out the fact that this house was 50+ years old.  When we gutted out we realized replacing all the pipes could not be postponed.  Jen and her crews were very accommodating and took care of our additional request in the middle of tight schedule.  Now we feel better that we won't have to worry about any of those main pipes for the next 50 years or more.  
Another huge bonus from working with Jen was that she actually goes with her clients for shopping.  She came with us to look at cabinets and floor materials, not because she has tons of time in her hands but she wants to make sure her clients make good choices She was on time and helped tremendously in cabinet choices, saving good amount.

All in all, we couldn't be happier working with Jen. This was our second time working with Jen. and she did not disappoint! I happy to say there were no surprises with our remodel other than long waits for inspections which was not Jen?s fault. I wish Royal Oak could be faster in this area.

This was not an easy job for a few reasons especially due to the difficulty of the tile work. Jen's team did professional, high quality work throughout. The job was also done very efficiently so that we could return to our normal lives. Jen personally oversaw all aspects of the job. The finished product is beautiful - worth every penny.

We were very pleased with the service, punctuality, quality, and communication provided by Ms. Czach. She was responsive to our needs and preferences while still raising concerns to consider and offering alternatives and solutions. Her kitchen design met our needs and was attractive. She worked closely with us as we decided on material selections.

Communication was excellent during the whole process. We received an estimate, payment schedule, and timeline for the project. There was a delay when the cabinets we wanted took longer to manufacture so she rescheduled the entire project with a later start date.

Throughout the process Ms Czach showed great integrity and high standards. For instance, our kitchen floor had carpet, two layers of vinyl tile, and 3/4" plywood. Concerned that laying our cork flooring over the thick plywood would raise the floor too high in comparison to adjoining rooms she had the plywood removed and a thinner underlayment installed.

The carpeting in the kitchen was also glued onto hardwood in an adjoining hallway. Her flooring man was able to sand off the glue and restore the wood. It looks amazing.

Plastic sheeting was put over entry ways to help control dirt during the process. The work area was cleaned at the end of every day and debris carted away.

Over all her workers were efficient and did quality work. The electrician worked overtime to solve a problem with a lighting fixture we had ordered. Her painter was particularly careful and precise. Ms Czach fussed over details to get things 'just right'.

We are thrilled with our beautiful new kitchen. We hope to employ Ms Czach for future upgrades.

Jen and her crew did an excellent job. The contract was carefully itemized and all work was done on time to a very high standard. All the people working on the project were experienced and skillful and very pleasant to work with. We would happily hire Jen for future projects. We highly recommend her to others. We give her an A+

Jen did excellent work and made sure her subs did as well. She went way beyond what I had expected from a contractor in helping me with extras and other non related problems.

Jen was an absolute pleasure to work with. She met with my wife multiple times to get an idea of her aesthetic. She went on joint shopping trips to pick out tile, fixtures, and lighting. Despite a brown out and inclement weather, work was done on time and we were always aware of what was happening and when it was going to be done. During the demolition, there was damage to an adjoining wall due to a weak stud. She not only had this repaired at no cost to us, she had this other area (a stairwell) patched and repainted a new color of our choosing for no cost. We are very happy with our new bathroom and we can't wait to start a new project with her.

Jen and team did a great job. We are very pleased with the results and have had many compliments from passerbys. She was easy to work with and her team was very professional. When they discovered a structural issue with the roof, she explained what the solution would be a provided a reasonable price to correct the concern.

I chose Jen Czach because of the good reviews I found on Angie's List.  This is my third whole house remodel, so I know the importance of finding a general contractor who you can trust with your home and your money.  Jen understood that we had a deadline to move-in, and she met it.  She handled scheduling all the subcontractors.  With all remodeling jobs, there are a few changes and bumps as you go along, but Jen was able to roll with them all.  When we had changes to the plan, I completely trusted her when she would tell me what the price difference would be.  We were difficult to work with because we are very particular about the design and we were in a rush so she didn't have much pre-planning time.  I could tell that our requests got to her at times when the frustration showed in her voice, but she always came through with the work.  I commend her for that.  I highly recommend Jen Czach.
