It took several days to complete the job and remove their scaffolding due to wind and rain, but it looks real good, with the new brick and mortar being a very good match to the original. I'm, so far, very happy with the work!

Matt Walsh was very personable, friendly and flexible in being able to come to the house for the estimate and actual work. He traveled about 30 miles to do the work and arrived when he said he would. He kept me updated and was accurate that the job would take two days. There were no problems. He and his worker cleaned up after they were done. He was able to match the brick type so close even though the chimney has to be over 30 years old. I would definitely recommend Walsh masonry for this type of work.

Chimney crown was cracked and falling off. Chimney had cracked brick and mortar joints in top eight courses of brick. Mr. Walsh gave me a reasonable estimate to replace the crown and tear down and rebuild top of chimney. He explained the problems with matching old brick and the different size of modern brick (1/2" shorter). Work was weather dependent but should be able to start within two weeks.

Mr Walsh called before starting the work to make sure the day he wanted to do the work was convenient for us. He found a perfect brick match for color and texture. Removed crown and tore down portions of chimney with cracked brick and mortar joints. Rebuilt the chimney with new brick and placed a new concrete crown. During the process, he had to remove a few more brick then originally anticipated and replaced the top section of clay flue liner. This extra work was done for the original price.

The job was started within the two week time frame, and completed in one day. All debris was cleaned up and hauled away. When they left you could not tell there had been a major reconstruction project in the yard.

Excellent workmanship, and very professional. I would definitely recommend.
