I had the best experience with Sterling Homes & Improvements. They were very professional & thorough. The workers were friendly & always cleaned up every day. My deck is beautiful! Sterling Homes & Improvements exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend them! My son hired them for two different jobs, (roofing & siding, & adding a mud room) & he was thrilled with their work too.

They said they could do the roof without shutting down the business, but after they got started they shut us down for 2 1/2 days. And since they figured we were closed they didn't clean up at the end of the day as expected. The also indicated that they would put the wireless network antenna back when they were done and didn't. Leaving us without internet for processing payments for two days. They also left the siding under the dormers, pushed up and not sealed to the roof. Which left a gab for whatever to get into the attic. Suggested they should lower the price for putting us out of business for a while - never heard back.

Came in contact with Sterling Homes & Improvements at the Fenton Expo. I was impressed by the knowledge Dan Banura showed and asked them to contact me regarding a roof repair and insulation. I was contacted shortly after the Expo to set an appointment and they came out to give an estimate. Again, I was impressed by the knowledge and professionalism Dan displayed. My husband and I decided to move forward with the roof repair and hold off on the insulation installation. When I called into the office, I was instructed to initial the change on the quote and sign, then email in, which I did. I was never contacted to set an appointment for repair, so I called in and they scheduled it once tentatively based on weather, which didn't pan out. When I did't hear back from them again, I called a second time and they scheduled me for the next day. Fortunately, I had the time. Although communication is not their strong suit, I recommend the company due to their knowledge and competence in the field. Having had issues in the past with roof repairs going awry, this one really went well. The completed job looks neat and professional and they made certain to clean up all debris. With a young child and small dog, I really do appreciate that. I will not hesitate to use them again.

This company was recommended to me by both my brother and sister who had Sterling finish both of their basements. We initially hired them to help us mount our TV over the fireplace - we needed a mantle and some cabinetry to house the components. Dan came out one evening. roughed up a sketch and the cost. They built the entire thing in their shop and brought them out and installed them - and they look fantastic.
We then decided to remodel two bathrooms and the kitchen. We worked with a big box store and Sterling to get a comparison on expenses. Sterling won hands down - he was 8 times (yes, 8) cheaper than the contractor provided by the big box home improvement store. We ordered all of our own materials since we had worked with a interior designer and had Sterling install everything. They came when they said they would, they went through all of the items we purchased for the products (and found things the big box store forgot to deliver) and went to work. They work very fast and don't let the project linger on unnecessarily. Rather than working multiple jobs at a time, I think they just focus on one job and crank it out, which is great - less time that your home is in complete upheaval. They know what they are doing and are just super friendly and great to work with. I would recommend Dan Banura to anyone looking to get serious work done around their home. He isn't a handy man and doesn't take small jobs, but if you have a large project, give him a call - he is very reasonable and high quality.

The shingles were delivered a few days before the job actually began, as planned. Crew showed up on time in the morning and got to work immediately. They moved everything off the front and rear deck and placed tarps and wood barriers around the entire house to protect the decks. It was a 2 day job and everything was wrapped up the second day, with the exception of an extra piece of trim that had blown off in a previous storm that Patrick re-shaped and reinstalled the third day.
The crew was professional and extremely friendly despite the fact temps were approaching 90 degrees both days.
I would recommend Patrick and his crew to anybody with the utmost confidence. In fact, I am having Sterling put a bathroom in our basement this week. Looking forward to another positive experience.

Well! He was on time, friendly and professional. However the very first visit last year a bit arrogant about how 'small' our home was. Almost didn't use him but found it worked out well overall in the end. I actually haven't seen it yet as I am out of stat e currently. But this is based on what my husband tells me. Would change it if I have a different opinion after I view the work.

Dan and his crew did an excellent job, They were very professional. I got other quotes and Sterling's prices where the best and the products are outstanding. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing work done on their home. I had them replace my roof, siding, windows, build a covered porch on my house and build a pole barn. All of which they did an excellent job! If I even need any other home improvements done I will call them without hesitation.
