Roofing
Based on Rich Linns bid we hired him to do the roofing job. We signed a contract for a complete new roof, to include all costs for labor and materials.
Based upon the following facts I cannot recommend this Contractor to do a Roofing Job.
Job was postponed one week by the contractor.
The dumpster didn't arrive on scheduled starting date
Experienced 5 man roofing crew expected, instead we got one experienced roofer and two inexperienced helpers
Inexperienced helpers damaged gutters and landscaping
Poor daily clean up
Crew did not have all proper equipment and materials at times
Were told the entire job was to take 2-3 days, and it ended up taking 2 weeks
The contractor miscalculated the amount of shingles needed to do the job. He Refused to pay for them because he had already put up the quoted amount of shingles on the contract. We were forced to purchase the addtional shingles in order to get the roof done.
My advice for this Contractor is: Get every thing in writing on the Contract. Start and end Dates. What happens if additional materials are needed and who pays for it. Who pays for damage done. Etc.
Do not expect this contractor to complete or do anything over and above what is written on the contract.
