CRC Appliance Repair Service

The repair solved the problem.

The freezer on my refrigerator stopped working. I called this company and received next day service. I made the mistake of not requiring an estimate prior to the service man starting the repair. I found out at the end of the service that the"technician" wasn't certified. He was unemployed from a non-related job and was working part time (however, his repair work was satisfactory). He told me the price ($200) and I told him it was unreasonable. He said he would check with the boss and he went outside. I found out the boss was sitting in the truck. The repairman came back and said the price was not negotiable. After the repair I looked up the part on line and found that it was under $50 from 3 different sites. The tech only worked on the job for 20 minutes. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

We called many companies to get a price to convert our new gas dryer to propane. Their prices were the best out of everyone that was called. Some companies wouldnt even give us a price until they came out to look at it and then wanted to charge a $49 dollar service call that would be deducted off the bill if we had them to perform the work. The highest quote was like $169. Even though we already had the part to change it out with.
When we called CRC they gave us the best price out of all and was able to do the job the very next day. They did ask if it was an emergency and we told them no. Not all the time the cheapest is the best but we did decide to have them perform the work cause of their prices were the best out of everyone that was called. Their punctuality you couldn't get any better. They gave us a time and then called to see if they could come out even earlier than what we were told on the phone. The tech named Chris, he was very polite and professional. Great people to do business with. I will call CRC the next time i need anything to be repaired as in an appliance. I know that they dont do warranty work but if any of our appliances out of warranty needs to be service they will be the first company that we will call.

I explained the problem I was having over the phone, they said they would send someone out. When the service representative came he ran a quick test and said their was nothing they could do. They charged me $68.00 for the service call. I feel this is something they could have told me over the phone after I explained the problem.

Was awful. This has been going on since March of this year. Our ice maker quit making ice so CRC replaced the water valve and charged us. That still didn't work so they replaced the ice maker and charged us. That didn't work so they put in an ice maker from a different model refrigerator. It worked for 3 months then quit. So - they replaced the ice maker. It didn't work. They replaced the water valve again - we were charged again. It didn't work. Then they started to check wiring diagrams, etc and concluded that its a control module - 1 of the 5 in the refrigerator that was ruined in a power outage. They could start to replace them - doing the main one first for $396. Once installed it was bought. If that one didn't work they would try other modules. We said enough was enough. Now we are out $400 and still no ice maker! The entire process was all wrong. We were ripped off, plain and simple.
