Auto-Lab of Fenton

Auto-Lab of Fenton fixed our vehicle and we are so happy with their service. We use them for all of our auto repairs. We recommend them to everyone and we will never use another repair shop! Auto-Lab is trustworthy, knowledgeable, uses reliable businesses to purchase parts, timely, has treated our whole family with respect, and the price is more than fair. The great experience begins with a pleasant phone call or the drop off at the front desk with Barb. She thoroughly explains the maintenance required in a friendly and respectful manner. When I pick up my vehicle, I feel as though I am visiting with a friend or family member. Most importantly, I am confident the job was done right! They diagnose everything; I love that they don't just slap on the parts, they actually show me what's wrong. They also offer payments for larger work. Barb is a wonderful lady.

It went well.

There are actually very few places that work on transmissions, the guys at Belle Tire recommended a place in Brighton, but I like to stay local if at all possible, so I did some checking and ended up at Auto Lab, they were very kind and professional. I have a 2004 Pontiac Aztec (stopped making a few years ago), with 180,000 miles, so I didn't want to sink a lot of money into it. It took them the better part of a day to check it out, but they checked everything out. They were very detailed in what needed to be done and the options. I didn't want to replace the transmission with a new one, which would have been very costly given the life the car has left, they did call around and found a rebuilt transmission. There were a number of other things that needed to be done, and they prioritized them. I have kept up on the maintenance of my vehicle, but they said they had never seen spark plugs and wires and a serpentine belt with 180,000, course what do I know, They were not very good about calling me, but when I did call they were very pleasant and helpful. While my car was being worked on, I used my sons vehicle, and noticed that the brakes didn't seem right, by the time I picked up my vehicle, the brakes on my sons vehicle were rubbing, so I left one vehicle and picked up the other. The front brake pads and rear shocks or something needed to be replaced. They were prompt with calling for estimated repairs, and I did get an estimated time frame, which was not met, but we worked around that without a problem.

Our vehicle broke down wile in route to our family vacation home on a Sat afternoon. We are AAA members and were referred to Auto Lab of Fenton. Dave and Barb the owners recognized my children were upset that we may not get to our family vacation. They immediately got our vehicle in and diagnosed the problem to be a radiator leak. Unfortunately the parts were not available as we drive and import. It looked like we were going to have to rent a car or stay in Fenton until Monday morning.
Barb drove to Pontiac to get our parts and the Auto Lab team stayed until 6pm to get us back on the road when they were supposed to close at 2pm. They even gave us their personal vehicle to drive for the day while the repair was being completed. Thanks to Auto Lab of Fenton we arrived safely to our vacation home and vacation was wonderful. I live in Ann Arbor and now drive the 45 miles to take our cars to Auto Lab of Fenton. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks Dave and Barb your the best!!

Bad experience and I won't use them again, once this warranty work is done. IMO the business practices are shady, when it comes to giving estimates vs what the final price is. Also, am wondering about the quality of the work they do as I am taking my vehicle back for warranty work for a repair they supposedly did last October. Between October and now I've only put about 6,000 miles on the vehicle.

They really back their work up. They even let me use their car. My husband was out of town and I have a job and go to law school so they lent me their personal car.

I LOVE these people! Barb and Dave are kind, generous, and I feel "safe" when dealing with them. I know they and their staff are trustworthy and professional. I can't say enough good things about this business!

needed several things taken care of on my car and took it to Auto Lab in Fenton. I have to say, Barb and David were wonderful to work with. They gave me a detailed run down of everything: items to be fixed, cost of parts, cost of labor, approximate time to do the repairs. They gave me a detailed receipt, explained it line by line and even went so far as to give me (in writing) a detailed estimate of things that would need to be done at a later date. I had to leave my car overnight and needed a rental so went next door to Enterprise. David called Enterprise to make sure I got a discount. I can't say enough about Barb and David. They're fair, honest, and genuinely care. I've been telling friends and family to take their vehicle to Auto Lab.

I am a consistent customer of theirs. They are wonderful. I like the while attitude. I feel cared for and that I can trust them. I don't feel like I am going to be taken. They are so genuine about their concern for me, personally, and my husband's health and everything. I think they are just great. I give them an A+ on overall experience, quality, responsiveness, punctuality, and professionalism.

As usual, everything went fine. Dave and Barb care about their customers. My husband, who usually takes the vehicle in for servicing, is in the hospital, and it was heartwarming to see and feel the personal concern they both had for his well-being and MY well-being. My husband is a laryngectomee but can speak with the use of a prosthesis. One time, he called Dave to make an appt, but just as Dave picked up the phone, my husband just couldn't get his voice "going." So he hung up, thinking he'd call back in a minute or two. Dave, showing his usual concern, immediately followed up with a text message to my husband's phone asking if he was okay. This meant a great deal to both of us. I can't say enough good things about Dave and Barb and their Auto-Lab business. We're customers for life.
