Home Security System Service
My elderly mother was charged $2109.40 for 10 smoke alarms for her 700 sq foot house. All to fix one chirping smoke alarm. My mother is 87 years old and has dementia. This company charged her $2109.40 to replace perfectly functioning smoke alarms. The replacement alarms are not centrally monitored or wired together. They are simple, cheap smoke alarms. AKB charged her $199 per alarm and installed 10 alarms in her 700 sq foot house. She doesn't even remember writing the check to them three days ago. The owner, Kenny BIllman, preyed on her dementia and refuses to issue a refund and reinstall her old detectors. This company is a scam, and abuses elderly. I have already filed a police report, contacted the attorney general's office in Lansing, and have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. He refuses to refund the money scammed from my mother.
