ROOF MANAGEMENT CO INC

This roofer, Tom Deitrich, prefers to do recovers over reroofing.  This guy can handle only the most routine jobs.  He hates doing any woodwork and is hard pressed to even nail 2x4 lumber.  They didnt have an air compressor capable of nailing 2x4 lumber together.  While tearing off my old roof, unusual defective things started showing up like bowed rafters and moisture damage due to lack of ventilation.  None of these defective conditions were noticed by this roofer.  He just ignored these warning signs and continued to plod on in a robotic autopilot manner as if he had horse blinders on.  As a result, I got a roof with the biggest ponds I have ever seen and impossible ventilation problems that threaten to destroy the whole roof within a few short years.  I have never seen any parking lot, let alone any flat roof, with ponds as big as what Tom Deitrich left me.  When I complained about these ponds, they right away told me not to worry because Durolast is warranteeed against leaks even if there are ponds.  I was dumbfounded by this response.  This roofer was telling me ponds dont matter.  I now have ponds, big ponds, that I didnt have previously and I'm supposed to not be concerned. 

This roofer doesnt care to fix your rafters.
This roofer doesnt gap his decking - there is supposed to be 1/8 inch gap between sheets to prevent buckling
This roofer is completely ignorant about ventilation and where you might need it - shows no initiative to spot ventilation problems.
This roofer doesnt understand the importance of insulating a flat roof with rigid foamboard as a safeguard against condensation.
This roofer doesnt know how to minimize ponding nor does he understand the strain it puts on the structure.
This roofer says he uses the highest quality materials when in reality, all he uses is OSB for decking - OSB is the cheapest, lowest quality building material known to man.  There are plenty of quality conscious contractors that refuse to use OSB.  Only the cheap contractors use it. 

What angers me even more is how impossible it is to correct these mistakes now that the roof has been laid and how easily the corrections could have been made had the roofer knew what he was doing.
