METRO LAWN CARE

We hired Metro Lawn Care to mow our yard (about .75 acres) for $35.  We were told they would arrive on Thursday, Friday the latest.  At that point our yard would be almost 2 weeks out from being mowed.  I told the office this and she said not to worry.  Thursday evening I called the office to confirm they were coming.  They told me they were running behind a day from the rain on Monday  and they hoped to make it on Friday. Saturday morning I called the office again and they said they were finishing up a house and ours would be next.  I told her our lawn was getting long and we were concerned.  Monday around 8pm  I was putting our kids to bed and they arrived.  They worked until 9 and told me they would be back the next morning to finish. They commented on how long the lawn was and it was taking them longer than expected.    The workers were friendly  and seemed professional. However, I did not appreciate the late show since it delayed bedtime an hour.  The next morning they didn't show.  Instead their office manager showed up at our home and said they were going to charge $135 for our lawn because it was so long.  She then accused me of lying about how long our lawn was and said her quote over the phone didn't apply.  I told her I wouldn't pay $135.  She came down to $65 and said I had to pay then and there.  Had my baby not started crying or my 3 and 5 year old had breakfast and not been hounding me for food I would have been in the mood to argue that we shouldn't have to pay more because they ran late.  Unfortunately, I wanted her gone and paid the $65 for a partially finished lawn.  My husband came home early and helped finish mowing the lawn and bagging the pile of clippings they left in our driveway.  We have since hired a new service. 
Just a note...we hired Metro to mow our lawn last year twice and they did a good job.  Not sure why they were so horrible this time and after being treated so badly by the office manager we are telling our friends to go somewhere else.

We decided to try someone else because we did not get the results we were looking for from Metro Lawn Care.

It is a family-owned and family-operated business. They have been in the business for a very long time. The person who came out to give us the quote was one of the owners of the company. They are not in the business to get a lot of money from people, but are in it to build a relationship. We pay as we go because it is based on the type of application that we are getting done.

I HAVE HAD THREE TO FOUR LAWN COMPANIES. THIS COMPANY MADE MY LAWN LOOK THE BEST. THEY DO A VERY GOOD JOB ON OUR LAWN. WHEN WE CALL THEM, WE SET UP AN APPOINTMENT. THEY ARE ALWAYS ON TIME.

THEY'RE A GOOD AND RELIABLE SERVICE. THEY CALL ME THE DAY BEFORE TO LET ME KNOW THEY'RE COMING AND THEY ALWAYS COME ON TIME. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEM.

I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THIS COMPANY. I HAVE BEEN USING THEM FOR THREE YEARS NOW. THEY ARE GREAT. THEY ARE ALSO VERY RELIABLE AND TRUSTWORTHY. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL IN THEIR WORK.

THEY ARE A REALLY GOOD COMPANY. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR WORK, THAT IS WHY I HAVE BEEN USING THEM FOR A COUPLE YEARS. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEIR PRICES ARE VERY COMPARABLE TOO.
