$1800 FOR A LEAKY HEATER! DO NOT USE! Replaced heat exchanger, leaked in 24 hours. They blame my water, but THEY ran it! Now want MORE money. AVOID!

Cam and Eric did a great job of finding a relatively simple problem that has caused issues for many years. I would hire them again.

Terrible. The problem was never resolved even though they came out three times in one year, and each time I was charged a minimum of $80 for the service fee.

Excellent job. I've used these folks several times in the past as I have hot water heat system and they know their stuff. Very good service and fair pricing as well.

He took a hammer to my water heater.  I now have no pilot and my water heater does not work.  They told me they would call me back in 2-3 days and nobody has called me back.  He came on a Monday, and I've tried 2-3 times per day since and now they won't even return my calls.

I scheduled to have Hartford Ratliff come out this morning to change an outdoor sensor for my boiler, and adjust the settings on the module which controls the sensor. When I scheduled the service with the agent over the phone, I was quoted a price of $130 + change which was to include parts and labor. Once the technician was on site, I asked if it was possible to mount the sensor on the North wall other than where it currently was, which was the South. The technician said the price would go up to $275 if he was to mount it anywhere other than where it was at initially. I would have gladly paid more to have the sensor mounted on the North wall, since i realize that I'm asking the company to do more than we initially agreed to. However, I thought a $150 charge to drill a hole and run some wire through it was not appropriate. Thus, I asked the technician to continue on the course we agreed initially.

Once he was outside and removed the old sensor, I asked him at what temperature he was going to set the boiler settings once he was done mounting the sensor. The technician said there would be an extra charge, and that he wouldn't do that for the price I was quoted. It's possible that there was a miscommunication with the agent that scheduled the call and the technician, but his attitude and arrogance were not part of the deal. The agent on the phone told me he would set the settings on the control unit while he was there, and it would be included in the price quoted. It seemed to me that the technician would have tried to charge me even if I asked him what his name was.

At this point, I called the company and got more arrogance from Steve, the service manager. It seems that this company is not well organized, and they're not communicating well within the organization. I would urge anyone who's considering using this company to consider other alternatives.

Boiler was not performing well enough to heat house.  Technician came out and diagnosed problem as defective switch, ordered it and returned two days later to install.  Boiler appears to be functioning adequately, but it's temperature gauge reads very low.  Technician returned (no charge) and diagnosed the problem as a bad gauge.  I choose not replace the gauge because it requires draining and refilling the boiler which would be very expensive.  I will wait and see how the boiler performs.
The technician was very knowledgable, polite and friendly.  I enjoyed working with him.

The pilot light went out on one of my water heaters that Hartford and Ratliff installed in 2012 - and would not stay lit.  I called and spoke to Beth, explaining that we were preparing for a wedding and had company coming in to town the next day.  Beth rearranged the work schedule for one of their installers and arranged for him to come by first thing the next morning.  As it turned out the service was not needed - I tried lighting the water heater the next morning and it worked fine.  I called to cancel the service call.

Hartford & Ratliff (Beth) was extremely professional, courteous, understanding and helpful.  I will definitely use them again in the future.

A lot more expensive than we anticipated as the labor was the same cost as the pool heater. They did a good job and most likely would use them again, but would research the costs ahead of install.

We have steam baseboard heating, and a valve on one of the radiators had to be replaced.  Afterwards, the tech described a procedure to follow as part of the boiler maintenance.  We asked for a demonstration, and he readily agreed to do this.  During the demo, he discovered that the float within one of the parts on the boiler was stuck, so he fixed the item.  This was a safety feature and could have caused a serious problem if he hadn't noticed it.

We have used this company twice so far.  Arranging a service call is easy.  The technicians always show up on time.  We are never pressured to do work that is unnecessary.  In fact, my first call to the company was to discuss possibly replacing an aging heating system.  The person who came out considered my request, gave the pros and cons of making a change, and then confirmed that our system was still in good operating condition and only needed a few upgrades to radiator valves that were causing the heating problems.

Their specialty is working on hot water heating units. They even helped me with stuff that they didn't have to. They taught me how to drain my water pressure tank so I can have more pressure in my heating system. I will use them again in the future.

They came out and did the job quickly.  It was the time of year when everyone is busy but they found the time to come out.  We really appreciated that.  They were really nice and the repair has held up.  I will definitely use them again.

I had a hot water heater. They were specialists and were very knowledgeable in hot water heater. They were a very good company and were very helpful. They talked to me some things about hot water heater that I had never heard before. They also took me through on how it worked. They were very good. They knew what they were doing. They knew how the heater worked and why it worked a certain way. They also told me about some improvements that I could do myself. They even worked on my water pump and did not charge me anything for it. I had a well and they told me that my water heater was not working since the water pressure was not high enough. So, they drained the water tank, pulled it back up and charged it for a better water pressure. My heater started working again. They were very efficient. I just felt that I called somebody that did what they were doing and I was happy with them.

I FEEL THAT THE PRICE WAS HIGH FOR THE SMALL JOB THAT THEY DID. IT WAS DIFFICULT FOR THEM TO GET TO THE AREA THEY WERE WORKING ON, BUT THEY DID A GOOD JOB. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE USED THEM AND I AM HAPPY WITH THEM.
