Tom Needham, from Ecotelligent Homes (EH), did an energy assessment on our house and then essentially acted as a contractor, organizing the work (with Cappy, but EH personnel did install some insulation as part of the larger project). We are extremely happy with EH's performance. 1) The completed work has provided us with everything we wanted. 2) In every case, all of the personnel who came into our home--sometimes for several days--were professional, friendly, and competent. 3) At one point our house presented a complexity (how to merge new HVAC equipment with a pre-existing zoning setup) that seemed to threaten the chance of continuing with a zoned house (ie dividing our house into 3 sections, each with independent temperature controls/ducts). We reached out to Tom and he coordinated with colleagues at Cappy, to insure that we got what we wanted.

I needed my basement crawlspace properly insulated so my kitchen sink and dishwasher pipes stopped freezing. Salesperson quickly came by with a reasonable quote and work was completed within 2 weeks. Haven’t had any freezing issues since, and they even set me up with a DTE rebate.

Very well - we removed all fiberglass insulation and installed spray foam on basement areas and two attic spaces. Ecotelligent was professional, quick, responsive, and answered my MANY questions. They even accommodated when I changed plans mid project. I appreciate their third party certifications and awards as well, demonstrating their professionalism and verified work. I would definitely recommend!

Friendly, quick and efficient. Had insulation installed in my upstairs bungalow. Huge difference!! Just in time for the cold winter months. Don’t have to worry about freezing or using a space heater.

Great experience with the team, very professional and courteous. After the audit I was walked through different levels of work that could be done and wasnt pressured into any sales. During the work the team was on time and cleaned up after themselves. House is more enjoyable both Summer and Winter.

We would hire Amanda and her team again without question and highly recommend this service and this company. They are professional, thorough, detailed, punctual, and great communicators. We could select from different options as to how much work we had them do, and Amanda explained everything thoroughly and precisely. The energy audit was eye opening, and helped us decide what to have done. The team that did the work was outstanding. Thanks to her affiliation with Consumers Energy we qualified for a rebate, and also spread the payments over time. We saw immediate savings with that winter's heating bills. Amanda and the Ecotelligent folks provide an outstanding service and are terrific!

If AL gave A++'s we would have provided those for Amanda and her team at Ecotelligent. She came and spent about 2 3/4 hrs. crawling in attics etc. doing thermal and regular photos. That time included going over her results and showing us where the gaps were. We were most impressed by the timeliness of herself and her team in communicating with us. We were required to leave the home with 2 cats for a little less than 24 hrs. Amanda recommended a pet friendly hotel a couple of miles away. She also compensated us for the stay there. The company is also providing all the paperwork for energy rebates and Pearl Certification which is a nationwide appraisal of added value to the home for the improvements. We highly recommend Ecotelligent. We would definitely use them again. And, we cannot stress enough how important the prompt communication, cleanliness and professionalism was to us. Super Service Award is most certainly earned.

I originally hired Ecotelligent Homes to perform an energy audit on my home. I was so impressed with the professionalism and the detail that went into their work, that I knew I wanted to hire them to update the insulation in my home. They identified areas of asbestos insulation both in the attic and the basement (that I was not aware of!) that needed to be removed/remediated, and helped me set up a plan that worked with my budget to accomplish a safer and more energy efficient environment for my home. They thoroughly explained all options available to me and were so great about answering any questions I had...including making the application for rebates as seamless as possible.The Ecotelligent crew is awesome...super friendly and respectful of your space. I highly recommend them!

Amanda was unable to do a full assessment due to the fact that my home had no working air and my attic is such that she could not access my full attic.She did take photos and the fiberglass insulation that was there was in decent shape. Due to attic not being fully accessible Amanda wanted to wave the $150.00 fee she was to charge. In spite of these limitations I received valuable information from the work she was able to complete and thought she deserved payment. Honestly she deserved a medal just for going up into my attic on this super hot day. I gained valuable information about the energy efficiency and safety of my home. I would use this company again if I were to buy another home.

The crew members did a great job and were easy to work with. I was at home with a baby and toddler and, for the most part, I forgot they were there. We chose the premium package, and it definitely wasn't cheap (though we did qualify for a number of energy rebates). However, they did quality work. They worked on our insullation, ducts, overhangs, etc. It seem like it's helped to create a consistent temperature in our home, but, as we're also replacing the windows and doors, it's hard to determine what's affecting what. My only complaint is the cleanup in the garage. They removed some of the ceiling and the finishing on the replaced panel is not pretty. We had also moved a few months before and our garage was full of stuff. They put up sheet barriers, but everything ended up with a fine layer of dust on it - even our baby supplies/toys. I'd recommend clearing things out before they start working, even if it's not the area they're working with directly. Everything was clean inside of the house.

It was fine. It took a long time but it wasn't their fault. There were complications. They ended up not being able to encase all that they were supposed to with the insulation and the other work because of the construction of my home. In essence, I didn't end up with the impact that I had intended it to have - the reason that I signed up. They were a good company and they pretty much did what they said they were going to do. I do still have reservations and I expected better results on my energy bills. They were supposed to reduce my energy bills because of the environmental work they did on my house. They ended up not being able to do it completely and I don't feel like I am getting as much in return on the bills as I thought I would. I thought they were a little high. I haven't made comparisons though. They're more than the energy companies but they supposedly were a little more complete.

Workers showed up on time each day, and worked all day long.. project took 4 days for complete. the Project Manager/Leader (Smith) did an excellent job of keeping my in the loop, explaining their plan and next steps for the next day. Typically there were 4 people on site doing the work each day. Work quality was excellent, and clean up was full and complete... you couldn't see any evidence they'd been in garage and house when done ! They also went the extra mile by repainting the entire ceiling of a room they'd been working in, rather than just painting the local area where they had to cut into drywall ceiling. Only recommendation I offered was for their HVAC sealing pkg... for my furnace filter, they just applied a piece of sealing tape over the filter 'slot'... making filter replacement difficult and the seal non robust. I mentioned this to Nick at the final inspection, and he indicated they'd work on an improved solution. Overall, EXCELLENT work by the team... I can happily recommend to others !
