We thought the service was great. It really gave us peace of mind knowing that everything was taken care of at the house when we weren't there. Our cat loved David. She was just fine when we arrived home. David came to our home everyday, during the time frame we had agreed upon, and fed our cat. He administered her pills to her without issue and scooped the litter. We felt like he went above and beyond our expectations to take care of our cat and our home. We won't leave home without hiring this Company again.

It went great. I was left a detailed note about each visit. I texted the owner part way through my trip to check in and received a detailed response within one hour. I returned home to my pets and my home and found everything was good. Pets were happy. And my home was clean. My mail and packagers were brought in, all pet waste was cleaned up and my garbage cans were taken out and brought back in on the appropriate day.

The person that interviewed me (Jennifer) and the pet sitter (Jamye) were both courteous, professional, and at ease with the cats. Jamye did a wonderful job in caring for the animals, and left my house in excellent condition. However, the owner of the company reacted poorly to a situation (I left keys that didn't work in both locks as planned, so they had to get access to the house via the neighbor) by applying at least 4 layers of duct tape to the door handles (admitting he searched my home to find it), and when I complained, reacted unprofessionally. He made no attempt to phone me at the time of the problem, and when I requested a personal visit to confirm the keys malfunction, he demanded a visit fee before he would do so. While I would hire Jamye again, I do not feel the owner should have access to my home, therefore, I will not hire this service again.

BAD My animals were well cared for (only reason I didn't rate an F), though I did not receive the services I paid for. The problems I had mostly involved the owner David Gaberman and the way he runs his business. I had contacted David to have a home sitter from 8am Saturday 11/28 until 11/30 6PM MONDAY night. Sarah who was to be the primary home sitter arrived late at 8:30 AM on Saturday and told me she would be there until the next day. Sarah seemed very capable. When she went to take the dogs out I asked her to lock the door behind her. She said she was not allowed to have my keys and that her Mother, Jennifer, would pick her up the next day. Not a great idea to leave my or any house unlocked when walking dogs. When I realized we would arrive home early Monday I contacted David the owner asking him to call me ASAP. (As a client it turns out I can not have a phone number of Sarah or anyone else who is sitting in my house.) The phone message I left advised David, as a courtesy, of my 2PM early arrival (so we won't startle Sarah) and that we could still like the dogs walked at 4PM. David did not return my call right away and instead let some time go by before sending me an elaborate text, saying since I informed him we would be home at 2PM no service would continue after that. (I have copy of signed invoice indicating services until 6PM Monday for home sitting and overnight sitting.) He indicated that he already sent Sarah to Lansing (college) from my home at 2PM. When I arrived home, there was a daily log waiting for me specifying who and when took care of my animals. As evidenced by the log Sarah was NO LONGER in my house by 9PM Sunday night or at all on Monday, Clearly no one one was house sitting or overnight sitting from Sunday night on. Dog walking services and cat services were provided by other staff members for various intervals Sunday Night and Monday. When I asked Dave to have Sarah call me to clarify somethings, he had her mother, Jennifer, call me instead. Her mother indicated Sarah was unavailable. When I asked for my keys back from David, I received another lengthy text about my three options for my own key return, none of which were the least bit convenient. Then David had the audacity to tell me not text him again unless I have selected an option for key return and agreed to follow his instructions explicitly. I immediately changed my door locks. FYI His services require a $20 profile charge which you can not update later. Full payment in advance is required. (Wouldn't be a problem if a company is trustworthy. No recourse.) He charges you a full 24 hour amount whether you use up 6 hours or 24. And like me, even if you contracted for 10 hours and were ok with paying for the full 24 hours, don't come home early because your invoice contract time means nothing. I was never given a copy of any specific contract or procedural guides as reference. I did receive a copy of my invoice. Although a lengthy interview was given before payment and signing of a contract there was a great deal of misrepresentation and unexpected pertinent information conveniently missing. Update: David eventually returned my keys through a third party. Too late, David, locks already changed.

They come in and walk your animal for you. We had them twice. The first time they were excellent. The second time, they were not real great. They did not show up at the time that we discussed. We did have someone come here and was not able to walk the dogs. That is why we hired them, but that is how we knew that they did not show up when they said they would. They were way late or way early. The price was fair. I checked a number of places and they were very reasonable. Their responsiveness was good.

They did an exceptional job -- above and beyond expectations.  I was very nervous with first time resources in my home but everything about their process was outstanding.

They have a very detailed interview process and leave nothing to chance.  My cats were very well taken care of in our absence.  We will definitely use them again and are taking the time to actually write a review to recommend them to others (something I never bother doing)

Please let me preface by saying, we truly care well for our pet and wanted to rely on a responsible pet sitting service to care for her in our absence. Angel at home pet care owner, David, was very unfair, unaccommodating and unprofessional in how he managed our pre-arranged service for the date above. He showed up to our home, as well as, his partner after the agreed upon scheduled times... late. He stated that he always answers, never too far away from his business cell phone; yet, the calls go to voice mail...so what happens in an emergency or pet owners want to reach him.  On his site and business cards, he refers to pet first aid and CPR training, when in fact, he is the only one who is trained and the staff has to call him if in an emergency.

David's female business partner came to my home initially to set up the arrangement and I did appreciate the thorough questionnaire conducted at first meeting. The second meeting shortly before the planned date of service, David and his son, Jacob arrived and I felt secure with his son but, David was questionable. Nonetheless, I overall thought that the meeting went well and had every intention if all went well to utilize Jacob and the service again because I liked Jacob first off. 

On the day in question, I received a text from David confirming the time I wanted Jacob to initially come. However, our plans took a turn of its own; there was unexpected issues that arose with my parent whom has special needs 1 hour drive away. So, I immediately called and cancelled the visit as soon as possible and David sounded over the phone somewhat disappointed, even though, he had been paid in full but, accommodating. Fortunately, I was able to get family to take care of the situation and within one hour or so preceded to call David again to hopefully resume plans. The plans were set to resume until it was said through conversation by David to me that his son would be coming in and out my home. My response to him was, "I would like to know when he will be coming in and out because our phones alert us to the use of the garage door". In a nasty manner, he replied "we are not bound to your pet just like you're not and how dare you...." Trying to get a word in edgewise and reverse the damage, David resisted to giving me a complete chance to explain my concerns. I explained to him that I needed this arrangement and that he didn't let me know that this was their practice.

 Personally, I think its more appropriate for his son to take care of his personal and business affairs prior to coming to my home and not back and forth out of someone's house; therefore, when he does arrive, he can stay. It could have been negotiated the time he was to arrive to stay.  However,this transaction never happened because he unprofessionally texted me that his son was unavailable for me when his son had been minutes prior.  All faired well, we fortunately found a family member and kept our plans and now have a reliable pet care services that is rated higher from off Angieslist.

David helped to make my dog a better leash walker, he helped care for her after a major abdominal surgery, and he adjusted what he did over the course of her lifetime from a young and active black lab to an geriatric dog with special needs.  He was dependable and knowledgeable about animal care, and very flexible with my variable schedule.  Zoey never had a problem leaving with David, even when we were at home.  He became part of Zoey's family, and she just loved him (as well as the treats in his pocket)!  He always left us a little note about what Zoey did that day.  He handled our alarm system without a problem, and did small extra things when we were gone, such as bringing in papers or other things that came to the house.  When David had a substitute come, it was also someone who had a genuine love for animals as well.  We are pet-less at the present time, but when we do get a new dog, I hope we will be able to hire David's services again.

We were looking for a pet care provider to feed and medicate our cat while out of town for work/vacation. David first arranged for an initial meeting with us at our house in order to hear what we were looking for and to get to know our pet. He was very thorough and described exactly what he does, his requirements, his qualifications and what he needs from us as far as instructions. Very comforting to know that he takes this seriously and has a professional approach.
Each time David has visited since, he's been very easy to coordinate with and has taken great care of our cat while we are out of town. Our cat requires medication via syringe and David was comfortable administering while also taking the time to visit, feed and clean up after her. We've been very happy to know that she's being looked after so well. It's also nice that he leaves a note for us after his last visit letting us know that things went well and he didn't run into any issues.
Overall, we've been very pleased with David's service and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for professional pet care while they are away.

It went seemingly very well. David came over a couple days in advance of my trip in order to get my information and meet my dog. He provided copies of his I.D. and his bond/insurance...discussed with me all my needs for my dog, we filled out the cursory paper work and that was nit. He and his daughter came to care for my dog while I was away, and he left behind a fairly thorough written report about their time with my dog. When I returned home, everything was as it should be, and my dog seemed to be in fine spirits. I would recommend David to anyone seeking pet care.

David and his staff are amazing! I have used their services twice now. He has a detailed intake interview, where he takes notes on every detail about the pet, from feeding to play habits. He is very forthright about being bonded and insured, as well as being firm about payment and booking. So if you use his company, at least for the first visit be prepared for an initial interview that takes about 45 min to an hour. He is pleasant and patient and very concerned about treating the pets well. As agreed, he came to the house and walked my dog three times daily, made sure that she was fed, and played with her. At the end of the visits he would leave a brief report, was reachable by phone while I was away, and sent me a summary at the end of the agreed service time. I only have one dog, however for those with multiple dogs/pets they also offer in house sitting if needed. I really can't say enough good about his services and my lab really seemed to enjoy his company.

We are so grateful for their help.You can feel comfortable having them come into your home.

David came over before our trip to go over everything about our cat and home in detail. Our cat's sister was recently killed in a car accident so we wanted someone to check on him more frequently than usual. By all appearances, everything went great!

He did a great job with the kitties and I was very very satisfied.

David was great--prompt, professional and very helpful. Having just moved to the area, I needed his service on fairly short notice, and couldn't be more satisfied. He took care of the cats, brought in the mail and was just a pleasure to work with.

I was very happy with the service! David was quite thorough and met with us a few days before we left for our vacation. I could tell he really likes animals, and my cats got along with him well. In the past we have boarded our cats, however as our cats have gotten older the boarding experience really started to stress them out. It is so nice to find someone you can trust to come into your home and take care of your pets. David also took out our trash, turned lights on in the house, watered plants - much more than I expected. I will for sure be using his service again.

Excellent! From the quick response to my initial unquiet to the 'welcome back note on my return. First meeting between dog and care-giver made it clear there is a lot of passion for this work. I'M. very pleased and already made plans to use again.

They were very caring and friendly with my pets.
