Plumbing
I woke up this morning to the dismal news that there was water spraying from a pipe in the basement, at the point where the pump bringing water from my well connects with the line going into the pressure tank.
So i panic and start calling around for plumbers, holding out little hope that I'd find anyone to come out to the house on a Sunday morning. One big franchise operation tells me they'd be happy to set up an appointment if I'd pay $260 to have someone take a look at it. I got no response from another company I've done business with in the past. I also left a message with Bentley, who'd originally installed the current pressure tank in place of the dilapidated original.
I unplugged the pump and let the pressure go down and pretty much resigned myself to a day without water. But Miles returned my call within the hour. I described the problem to him, and he said that he'd just finished up a pretty hectic week, but that he'd get his tools together and be here soon.
Within another hour Miles was here. He went directly to the basement and took care of the problem, replacing the short piece of rotten pipe at the opening to the pump, priming the pump, and verifying that the bladder in the pressure tank is still in good shape.
Miles took care of every homeowner's nightmare, spraying water in the basement, with dispatch and courteous professionalism. All for $200. And did I mention it was on a Sunday!

Well and Pump Service
I would definitely recommend him. Way back in 1995 someone in that company came out and put the pump in. He used an existing one, which most people won't do , and went through a lot of trouble to do it, but he got the job done. The company is great.

Well and Pump Service
I ran into Bentley Well Drilling through my home warranty provider, American Home Shield. Originally another company was scheduled to complete the service but I would have had to wait an extra day with no water. Miles called me and said that he could make it out that day (it was after normal hours) and that he had been in contact with AHS and they approved it. Miles (the owner) came out and took a look at my well pump. He did some quick troubleshooting (it was obviously dead) and set my expectations on cost and time to get a crane truck to my home. The next day my well pump, main pipe, wiring and cap were replaced by a small crew in a few hours. The total cost was $1900, only $100 more than I was quoted.
Aside from the great work, professional but friendly attitude and service that I received, Miles did something exceptional. My warranty company covered $1500 of the total cost of the service. That is the maximum that they will cover. Without going into too much detail, there was some uncertainty about money and Miles didn't bat an eyelash to get my water restored for my family and I. His words were something like, 'What am I supposed to do? I am at a home where the family has no water. Am I supposed to just leave them like that?' Well, he didn't leave us, despite the variables in getting his money for the work. I paid him as much as I could and he waited for over a month while I worked with AHS to get him the remainder of the money for the work.
My water pressure is better than it's ever been and I would recommend Bentley Well Drilling to anyone that needs service on their well.

Well and Pump Service
Miles came out as a favor to the first contractor I called because he was closer to my house. He was at my door 30 minutes(!) after I called. He was professional, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He completely checked the well pump switch and pressure gauge and did the needed adjustment. Since the well tank was next to the sump pump I asked him his opinion of why our basement had flooded. He made a thorough check of the sump pump and backup pump and showed me why it failed. 3 other contractors did not find the problem. If my well or sump pump ever need service or replacing in the future I will call Miles.
