Terrific! We called him and he came the same afternoon and fixed everything. Plus, we needed a second garage door opener and he had one on hand.

When I met Andrew for an estimate, He gave me one price for all the services like new insulated door, installation, hauling old door etc. When we decided on the deal, he had to reschedule the original install date. But was rescheduled at my convenience. He replaced the door, opener and demonstrated the system. He also cleaned up the place before he left.

Andrew arrived within an hour of our request for a quote and we had a quote before he left.  He wasable to schedule the installation within a week within a week with the caveat that he had been experiencing two hour delays because his supplier was in the process of relocating.  He set an estimated arrival time of 10 AM.  I called when they hadn't arrived by about 11.  Long story short,  They still had not arrived by 1:00 since the door still had not been loaded.  I had to work from home a second day.  They arrived at 9:00AM the next morning and worked continuously and efficiently until the job was done and the worksite was cleaner than when they started.  They were gone by 1:00 with a promise that the recyclers would pick up the old doors, framing and pile concrete counterbalance weights by 5:00.  They arrived and were gone by 3:00 leaving nothing behind.

During the installation they realized that there were two lights and a chin-up bar that would interfere with the door.  They removed the bar and relocated the lights that were missed in the quote with no additional charge. The quality of the work, materials and equipment are all great.  Most important are the quality of the people who were all focused on their work and completing the job.

They were fantastic. They were excellent. One of the technicians left a very expensive saw on site. We called to let them know, and they were so appreciative, that they installed a manual release at no charge. I thought that was really nice.

My car was literally stuck in my garage and thank goodness for Andrew Smith of 1st Choice Garage Doors, Eastpointe, MI. He came to my rescue on a day with extremely bad weather. He arrived within a half hour of me calling and did not even try to gouge me. He even let me get my car out if the garage without charging me and came back the next day and fixed my door while I was not home. The door works better than ever before. He is an honest businessman and rare gem! Please do not hesitate to use him if you are having problems with your garage door.

Showed up when promised, did everything in a timely manner.  Made sure I understood how to operate new opener with remote.  Let me know I could call if any problems came up.   My only negative would be the clean up. After sawing my old garage door in pieces, (in the drive way)  found metal pieces in driveway, and a few inside the garage.    I swept garage, and driveway, ( they did before me)  and still the few days later, I found 2 more pieces(metal scraps)  in the driveway.  
     The only thing I think would have been better, was a vacuum,  maybe a tarp,  a blower,  or a trailer to just put existing doors on and cut up somewhere else,  to make sure there would be no metal scraps at all, left in the driveway or in the garage.    
  I do not want to sound negative overall, because I am not.   Would gladly refer him to friends, family and neighbors.   Garage door looks great,  opener is great.  They were in, they were out.   Would use this company again.

They did an excellent job. They were really fast, it only took them a half an hour to finish. They wanted to come yesterday when I first call but I couldn't so they came today. It came with a great warantee. They were very nice guys and very professional. I would highly recommend them.

my garage door had tears in the metal causing it to sag , making opening & closing it very difficult.
finally the chain on the opener came off and this was the last straw. I had three or four people come out 
to inspect the situation. all said that a new door & opener made the most sense. I chose 
1ST CHOICE GARAGE DOORS INC . They were very close by, & their price was lower than the others.
This , however by itself didn't make me choose them. Mr. Andrew Smith , the owner impressed me
with his assessment of the problem, his suggestions for remediation, & his manner & general impression
that he conveyed. we came to terms and the work could begin very quickly. he arrived on the appointed day,
i got out of his way, in a few hours Andrew & his brother installed my new door & opener. they cleaned up very
well, even sweeping the floor. Andrew demonstrated how all the accessories worked , and that was that!

We had several estimates but we ended up choosing them because of the price. They came right out and replaced it! Andrew Smith is the owner and technician and he answered all of my questions in regards to replacing a new door. They were very pleasant.

They did a really good job. I was completely satisfied with the entire process. I found their rates to be good as well and I would recommend them.

Called on a Friday, work scheduled for Sunday, received a call-back to see if OK to come on Saturday as an opening had become available. I agreed and worker was there on-time and completed job to my satisfaction.

I shopped around a bit and got a very quick response from Andrew, a patient explanation of the products and options available, and a price match on a new garage door opener including installation. The installer was on time, courteous, and quick. It was a pleasure to deal with them. I would certainly recommend to any one looking for Garage Door services.
